by god, even if i dont rly like htc anymore, i dont see where the problem is. my hd2 would fail too when i would use it that way
well my HTS had an issue that it looses the sence sometimes. and it cannot catch that the other person is on call waiting. it keeps on ringing the callef person widout notifying me that hez on waiting...
I am loving all this touchscreen faults, the ifruits screen does not work under strong sunlight ..Bring back real buttons manufacturers,,keep afair sized screen tho or use Sony Ericssons P900 type device to fulfill everyones needs.
The touchscreen was fine for the first 3 weeks or so. It's definitely got issues now though. Glad it's not just me. I also have experienced the death grip since day one (Disclaimer: I'm not an idiot. I can reproduce the problem with one fingertip.)
Wish Samsung would release the Galaxy S II or Hercules in the US already, so I can sell the Sensation on eBay. It's been out in 3rd world countries for, what, 3 or 4 months now?
HTC are having problems this year.
I know one company who have standardised on the Wildfire s and have regretted it.
The screen freezes, is unresponsive, the landscape/portrait sensor stops working and it drops calls.
So Apple must be happy and there is still hope for nokia.
This HTC phone is the biggest Samsung commercial advertising ever.
I have an HTC Desire Z. I noticed that when I have my phone on the car mount, I have difficulty swiping to unlock it. If I hold the phone in one hand and swipe to unlock with my other, it works fine.
At least with my phone, it appears that I have to make some type of contact with the chasis around the touch screen with some part of my body or the swipe is not very responsive. While the phone is on my car mount, I find I have to touch the chasis around the screen with my thumb and then use my index finger to swipe to unlock.
I thought it was strange, but other than while the phone is on my car mount, I don't notice the issue. I have tried just laying the phone on the table and touching only the touch screen to swipe to unlock. It seems to also have some difficulty registering my touch/swipe.
When I saw this issue with the Sensation reported, it reminded me of the Desire Z issue I had. The way this particular person is holding the phone, it looks similar to my issue. It is possible that just supporting the phone with the back results in poor response on the touch screen. I would like to see if he experiences this same issue if he touches the frame around the touch screen with his hand while swiping.
I have HTC Desire and its been working like a dream for over 8 months.
My Wildfire S's screen won't sometimes react to touching either. I's been ok for a while now but I think it was also about a week after I got the phone, when the screen started to be unresponsive (I've had the phone for over a month now). I think the last time it wouldn't work was about 2 weeks ago.
I'm on my second Sensation, and as much as I want to like it, I'm about ready to send it back to T-Mobile, again. The first one I kept for 2 days and this second one for 6 days. It is a KLUGE handset. Aside from the other mentioned complaints, I've noticed one quite strange. It accumulates a LOT of dust and lint, in under the earpeice, and on the secondary camera. I keep mine in my pants pocket and I swipe across my shirt to clean the screen. Talk about Dust Bunnies... But this may be something that's occurred on every phone I've ever owned. The Sensation is the only phone you "Gut" and are able to see this problem. Oh, BTW, after I sent the first Sensation back I wrote a scathing review about the Sensation on T-Mobile's phone review. They never posted it. They just put the happy, happy, happy reviews out their so people will keep buying the phone. Very much like the recent G2X debacle. T-Mo's site recently said they where "Temporarily out of Stock", but a T-Mo store employ told me they were all recalled to fix all the G2X's problems. After this Sensation problem I've really learned how much I dearly love my BB 9780, and the 3 BB's before it!
Htc Sensation user for almost 3 weeks now, got to say no troubles at all. No death grip, no dust under the screen (Really worried about this one, but after having the device in my hand I stopped caring about it, it really seems hard anything like this could happen), no touch screen issues or anything like that. So far, my only complaint is battery duration, BUT, come on, seriously... 4.3"? What was I expecting for?
I really can't believe I'm THAT lucky... Do you?
You are downloading something in background. While making the demonstration.
My Sensation has done this twice now, but the problem seems to go away after a couple of days. It seems to be triggered by the syncing process. It's a bit annoying when it happens, about once a month, but otherwise the phone is superb.
you're swiping it wrong! xdddddddddddddddd
so sad htc... so sad
I have no problems with mine so far, best phone I ever had, much better than my Vibrant. The only thing I don't like is how they have the app drawer set up to stop in sections, I would like it better if it just was smooth and fast witout stopping at sections.
my SE X10 is also unresponsive at times when trying to unlock the screen and touch may not be accurate when scrolling etc. Typing a message is also frustrating, when it enters the wrong letter and has a spaz attack.
my phone is working fin, but then very often it used to restart itself and when it comes back up it says that the phone has recovered from a system crash..
don't know if there is any issues or is there any update for the same
I so wanted to love this phone. I know every device will have glitches (iPhone's death grip, for ex). I kept mine for 3 weeks before returning it because of of one too many issues... quiet speaker, 'stereo' sound recording is quiet & choppy, stopped uploading to YouTube, video editor doesn't let you merge or overlay music, can't get video to focus on you if you're the one who has to hit 'record' first, ear pieces are too big, incorrect album art, couldn't handle 1080p, lock screen went half way, app icons from memory card didn't display. I'm w/T-Mobile, so I'm waiting for Samsung Hercules
My Sensation works great and I have it for a few good weeks
if anything changes i'll post here or something

Stop complaining "kids" ,all phones have a bug when they are first released ... moreThis problem is intermittent and there is a temporary fix that seems to work for some.
I still love my Sensation, still think is a great phone, when it works as it should.
