I remember they were hating the redmi 5 plus because it didn't have the snapdragon 636, now that xiaomi gave us that, they are still not satisfied, i admit that i would like to have type c and fast charging i would trade the 20mp front camera for that, but still this is a damn fine phone for its price segment, please name one company that offers this value for money!

Last year, Xiaomi Redmi note 4 ate Nokia 6 (2017) because it has SD 625, better battery life and camera performance. Now Nokia 6 2018 ate Xiaomi Redmi note 5.

Mi A1 is still better than Redmi 5 pro/plus.
For better portrait mode the Camera should be of 12+12 which redmi 5 pro is lacking
Camera aperture not good
There should be dual flash in rear camera
No Fast charging
No Silver color available, just copying the old versions
C type charger is there or not, its future charging port

I had never said anything about display, camera & design. Android Oreo was released in August 17 and why shouldn't we expect it on a device that gets launched on Feb 18. Being a number one selling series(Redmi Note) it should have it.
BTW who cares about Pixel's camera.

hard to believe it's a bit longer than my Mi 5s+.
using old Micro-USB 2.0 port + weird main camera position/design is really a deal breaker (at least for me)
better wait the next gen of Mi A1 (Mi A2?) hoping that the next gen also use SD636 with better camera position + Android One
