still worse than my mi max 2 except for that gimmick 18:9. I'm waiting for mi max 3 w/ 660.
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2018is this official ? snap 625 with worst camera ( f2.2 ) please say you're joking I am afraid that the cold hard truth, unless you ops for the more expensive iphoneX camera wannabe Redmi Note 5 pro.
ipolit, 13 Feb 2018That's the reply to indian fans demand for the word "NOTE" in the name.Indian fans like "Note" Xiaomi remove "Plus" & replace it with "Note" ...rofl
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2018WOW, so not only will there be no global versions, but the indian version won't even have band 8?let the moaning start
Nice specs - if there will be a Global B20 version, I might buy one.
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2018No B20? Disappointing...And no B8, even.
What are we supposed to buy here in Europe? The Redmi 5 Plus has lots of fake global roms so it's a risk.
The note 4 is too old anymore.
Micro-usb 2.0? f2.2 camera? No B20 LTE? What a joke! No, no, no. Wallet closed.
The 636 is not a bad choice at all if the gpu isnt ur concern. Shud be as efficient as the 625 and more powerful than 650.

Hmm well, I must say that it is a complete mixed emotions situation. There's so much to say, but to just mention a few- okay some pretty PROS, but on the other hand, a lot of CONS (maybe even more?). First of all, shame on Xiaomi to really have renamed/ rebranded the Redmi 5 Plus as Redmi Note 5- it's an absolute INSULT to all the Indian (general too) fans and customers. Secondly to stupidly copy the cam arrangement of the iPhone X, and again the old USB port (then we'll have to see about the fast charging or NOT). Then to mention some pros: good news for the dual cam (although currently it's just the basic norm), good news too- that it has 20MP selfie/front cam with LED flash, etc. But tomorrow we'll have a better an complete picture of the situation...
