Anonymous, 13 Feb 2018Hate all these AI nonsense too. They should be focusing on staying alive in the mobile world insteadAs long as LG television departement earning billions they will stay in mobile world as well.
LG makes greatest and just the best TVs.
So their phone division can fading like for example HTC but they will stay insztead of HTC for example which slowly failing deep into trench where is no way to return back.
Such a useless dicisions, this all AI hype is way to exaggerated, every company offers some AI experience and they all do the same not something unique. It's completely overcomplicates experience, you have to remember 32 commands and is completely gimmicks, I bet you will use your phone Mich faster than trying to remember what to say to stupid AI assistant, plus all the fuss to understand you correctly and so on. LG is making big mistake of not preparing new hardware but giving you back same old model with useless features.
Mostly LG must solve the LG G6 screen redemption, lightleak and ghost screen with cameras wrong focus point softwares, also v30 has the screen problems too....
Please never buy LG 30,
Lg v30 is far behind where competitor are far ahead..either the lg v30 price is cheap or competitive.
lg v30 will not upgraded to snapdragon 845, or improve camera, but added AI to theit existing version ...and sell their product at price of competitor samsung galaxy s9 ...wow...keep it up...
I'm more interested in my G5 getting an Android update since the security updates are almost one year old! Don't care about AI garbage. I'm almost through with LG.
CptPower, 13 Feb 2018Well another useless add-on for lazy people who are unable or dont want to set up their camera... moreHate all these AI nonsense too. They should be focusing on staying alive in the mobile world instead
What LG needs to do is release android 8. Ever since a change of power has been change within LG, things are now delayed.
Well another useless add-on for lazy people who are unable or dont want to set up their camera before making a photo.
A lot of research for nothing apart for higher price on their flagship.
But in reality not many people will find this feature usefull.
Thats my opinion.
Huh, I was thinking of buying a v30 very soon. I'll hold off a couple of weeks and see what's new
Those voice commands are useless if they don't work offline (ie. they require internet connection).
I sold my s8 and bought the lgv30 .... its the best phones Ive ever had and I dont miss the s8 at all . Let me clarify some things for you
The screen is absolutely gorgeous and Ive never faced an issue so not all lgv30s have the display issue , Ilets not forget that Samsung have had many screen issues like the s7 edge pink line , screens with very red tings etc etc . The panel used in my LG v30 is great
The battery life is much better than my s8 , I dont know why , but the LG v30 is deep sleeping really well and screen on time is awesome for such a big display
The audio is the best Ive heard on a phone ... connect some high impedance headphones over 50ohm and you will be blown away .... test it in a shop with 50ohm headphones and it will make you look at your current phone with despair
The cameras are great ... its amazing how much LG have squeezed out of these tiny sensors ... I bought the phone for the audio as I expected the cameras to be a major step down from the s8 ... I was wrong ... LG have done awesome with this camera set up and are even the first company to use a 10bit sensor... you can do slog video ... audio recording is some of the best you will hear from a phone ... the still quality is great and captures loads of detail ... the wide angle camera is fun and useful ... its a great camera package
Everything about the lgv30 is high end ... from the build quality to the headphone jack ... its easily one of the best phones of 2017 and it will still be one of the best in late 2018
The only thing they could honestly improve is the front facing camera and maybe add 2gb more ram to help with future proofing and multi tasking as the LG skin is quite heavy
I hope LG stick to this v30 type flagship, its the most versatile phone on the market at the minute , cheaper than an iPhone , cheaper than the note 8, cheaper than a pixel , cheaper than a s8+
Everyone who has one loves it and the only people hating on it dont own it ... funny stuff
Yet another overpriced crap. The same but with new marketing. Typical LG.
It will obviously be welcome. Then eventually we'll have to see the G7 (mostly- with 2018 tech).
Tell me that this is their way of improving changing the display and front camera hardware also. They really need to sort out the areas that we're failing, not add more tosh. I have yet to see Huawei's photo AI to add anything of merit, based on reviews.
