imRGZ, 15 Feb 2018Yeah...I will simply go and buy any one of Sony, Samsung and LG, and be happy for years with w... moreI also have a LG 49" 4k TV bought for 1.42 lakhs three years ago. I had to replace the motherboard for 18k three months back which translates to Rs.1.60 lakhs cost so far. Even if it lasts another 5 years, the average cost per annum works out to Rs.20k. If Mi TV 5 with 55" (screen size bigger than 49") lasts even four years, the average spend per annum is only Rs.10k. As long as it gives similar good picture quality, the killer price effectively takes out all other brands. If the Mi TV fails after four years, still it is not bad. You have the option to buy latest model at that time. But when we spend huge amount in Sony, Samsung or LG we will not be inclined to change the TV even after seven/eight years unless we are super rich!!!
Vegetaholic, 14 Feb 2018LG us quality, you paid for quality, Xiaomi you pay for features, probably TV will die in few ... moreLG just lose lawsuit on their bootloop phones. Also I have a LG LED TV in my living room that very rarely use have vertical lines because the panel broken about 1 month after it out of warranty. Talk about quality.
Mi LED TV4 55" does not have ports which connect cable TV or Analog / Digital RF Antenna, it works only with DTH Dish Connection or WIFi internet basis. Many of Indian users are dependent on RF cable connection. Hence it is not much useful in Indian context.
As I know, in China the TV has no Speakers and hence it is packaged with Dolby Atmos Soundbar.
What's the deal with Indian model?

I have been using MI phone, band, Head phone... for years and never feel bad...
I have also used Samsung (A series) , LG phones and I canot find big quality diffrence between thsese three... But price is cheaper at least half...
imRGZ, 14 Feb 2018You are comparing a 20k TV with a 40k one? Compare a 40k worth LG TV with this and then talk. ... moreIts not about price alone.. Brand too... If you are buying from a Brand it should have the value either if it is a 20k or 100k. If LG cant give a value to its 20k worth TV then whats the use of brand value
aknsreddy, 15 Feb 2018what is your intrest of advertising on behalf of MI. can u repay if its spoiled.?Does sony or samsung repays if display fails after 2-3 years.
Dont blame a quality product, just because you think so.
I have more that 2 incidents where sony & samsung displayes failed in less than 3 years and then they switched to brands like Vu bcos they dont want to burn their money.
Sathish, 14 Feb 2018If you dont like it, you can happily take Sony's, Samsung's and LG's. They wont be low on quality, but more people here are wanting something like Mi TV could bring budget and features together.
And also dont worry this TV cant be bought easily though. People would fight in the Flash sale and this wont to your doorstep and indulge in compulsion buying though :P
600 dollars, wow thats insanely cheap and it sounds great...plus it has hdr and is the thinnest at that...almost too good to be true, but its probably because chinese brands always are cheap and dont inflate prices and its coming out in india, if it was coming to US it would cost 2000 dollars or something
Bankailascar23, 14 Feb 2018It's probably low end HDR 400 It's hdr 10(10 bit HDR) as in note 8 and stuff... You didn't read the source did you?
