My Nokia N8 still rules the cameraphone niche. All the Android superphones... moreToo bad the N8 is such a poor phone, people hate them especially when they reset and wipe all their on board data, continuous freezing.
They are a joke with a nice camera.
Nokia just slipped down to third largest smartphone maker, Samsung moved up to number two, Apple is number one.

I am happy with my iPhone for music/movies, and Xperia Play for games (aside from call and text). For camera purposes anything less than my Canon Rebel SLR quality is a crap!!

About image quality of cameras... I could care less. I think mine's really good right now. As long as I have industry leading smartphone, I'm happy.

A 1/4" sensor is ridiculous. The standard budget compact camera has a 1/2.5" sensor and the Nokia N8 is 1/1.8". OmniVision believe the wow factor of a really thin phone is more marketable than a good camera. It is pure transitory gimmickry because in real life differences in slimness make no real difference to useability and once you have bought the phone the novelty of that slimness is going to wear off. The N8 is 13.9mm versis 9.3mm for the iphone 4.

The SGSII is the... moreThis "race for the slimmest phone" is similar to the race for the "smallest phone" back in the 00's which drove manufacturers (read: Panasonic) to make crazy tiny phones which were hardly usable; before people realized small isn't always better...and things started getting bigger.
Similar tipping point needs to be reached here before we can start seeing some standardized phone thicknesses

If you want something like that, get the N8. Anna is coming soon if you're gonna complain about Symbian.
