Hah, I still remember when Apple announced that the iPhone's camera can now zoom in by using the volume rocker. I was laughing myself off since I've had some older Nokia phones that's able to do that.

I own SE Arc and HTC DHD too. and i love them, but comparing iOS to Android? you're way over your head loving your phone too much. if you have'nt experienced iPhone 4 or THE iPad, stop commenting then.
I dont get it, shipping the most phones for just a year makes you a larger manufacturer? Why not count when the business started?
Also a lot of iphones shipped but they are rarely sold.
Aaron, 05 Aug 2011Actually, a jailbroken iPhone can do as much as an Android device. You can apply tweaks here a... moreNo, you can't. The things, you've just mentioned, are normal for feature phones. Android is a smartphone platform, which means you can have a common folder structure, file access, normal application handling, processes, and so on, and so on. And all these - the same way you have them on your computer. IOS, even jailbroken, is a nightmare as each app sees only its folder&files. If you do smth on a smartphone in a minute with 3 clicks, on Apple device you'd need at least 5min and lots of clicking & swiping. I don't want to mention the missing flash and pathetic browser, which leaves you in the hands of the web devs to provide special web pages for you. Software updates are a nightmare as they usually bring more problems that solve & on top of that - no new features at all (usually just copy some app functionality). Phone&text functionality is not even to be mentioned - I don't know how the GSM standard allowed that device on the market.
Believe me, I've been struggling with iphone long enough and it's constantly trying to slow you down, when you want to do smth. Or telling you how you are not supposed to do that.
Cheers & try an android phone mate - you'll like it as soon as you see what you can do with it.
the figures show that Apple did a good job. why so much hate with Apple Android fans?! can't afford to buy the phone or just jealous?

But let me tell You one thing, if Your jailbroken iPhone can view flash websites, I will admit its powers :P
There is very big mistake. Apple manufacturing dumb phones and developers make apps for it. So it is not a smartphone. Only idiots overpay dumbphones and think that they got best smartphone ;)
HUSSLAH, 05 Aug 2011i think nokia is better.......please just go through it ... i know nokia is better but APPLE IS BEST

Let me tell you all apple fanboys that Android is much better than apple in each and every aspect. And,talking about smartphones,an Iphone 3G S is costlier than hTC Wildfire and is even dumber than the later in respect to all the features.Similarly, there are many hTC and Samsung handsets in the market capable of doing much more than Iphone 4.Apple handsets are nothing but media and stupid public' hype. And about jailbroken Iphones,if an Android handset is rooted then you have no idea what a powerful device your handset has become but Iphones are very very restricted even after jailbroken. So,HATE apple,LOVE ANDROID!!!

You can apply tweaks here a... moreAt home,am the only one who has Sonyericsson other has iphone4. everyday they have jailbreak after few days its crashes and freezes, since they bought they have already sent back their phone more than two times because of hardware problems. so i know well about iphones it is there at home since 2g till now 4g they are not good phone,if u take arc and iphone4, arc is better it has more speed.
We have to give them props for that. 1 device at a time. not 2, only 1. This might change this year though, but, seriously, taking the lead on this market in 4 years with 1 device refreshed each year, that's hell of a performance.
Albert, 05 Aug 2011It's because Apple only have smartphones.. all other brand (except HTC I guess) have dumbphones too+1.

Sun Down, 05 Aug 2011Yes, and it won't be long before it shows it's corporate face. Wouldn't it be interesting if t... moreIn my opinion, they were always even worse than Microsoft. Apple is the master of copyright infringement and patent claims, digital rights mangement restrictions, closed-source software, unproviding anything to the users and even taking away the most fundamental functions in their devices, in wich everything otherwise normal must be paid, registered and tracked.
And all that was covered in the most elaborate marketing strategy ever - convincing people that they are not like that at all (remember "I'm Mac and I'm PC" commercials), that they are cool, open-minded, sophisticated, and that they provide all that really matters. Even music and video industry is now in decline as everyone is more interested in farting apps and Angry Birds than illegal download of movies and music (at least in terms of handheld devices). Apple nicely solved the DRM problem - give people something else, that you can easily control, and the other stuff will also come under your control.
