s4f786, 23 Feb 2018No it wasn't, only thing better on sd835 is the gpu and that's it Not even that entirely. Though supposedly under intense gpu load the 835 actually became more efficient. Almost flipping the efficiency if the two around.
DarkJava, 20 Feb 2018The SD 835 was better than the Exynos variant...No it wasn't, only thing better on sd835 is the gpu and that's it
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2018I owned an s6 and my god lagwiz was an abomination it pissed me off so bad at times but i chan... moreGood to know that it has improved. However, I think to see the real difference in frame rates, you have to try stock Android Pixel or Android One phones.
Quite impressive score. The Geekbench score of Snapdragon 845 is reported around single 2400, multi 8300. So this single 3800, multi 9000 score of Samsung Exynos 9810 seems very impressive. Especially, single score of 9810 is 60% higher than SD845. It is bit lower than Apple iPhone 8/X A11 Bionic AP chip (single 4215 multi 10170) but higher than A10 AP ( single 3438 multi 5766) of iPhone 7. I think highly of the single score improvement of Exynos, which is much more important than multi score in many phone applications. Good job Samsung!
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2018Look at you still being all hurtMan its not me who gets hurt.
But Samsung. Their pricing is horrible soon noone will buy Samsung.
Apple is going same way.
Horrible price for what it offers.
Great 200 single and multi core difference between S9 and S9 plus and yet S9 will cost 1000 eur and S9 plus maybe 1200. Depends on your local shop.
Call it pure slavery.
Dehonesting price not worth the whole phone. Thanks no.
OogWay, 20 Feb 2018Well, the hardware is there. The score is pretty. But how good is TouchWiz now since I have no... moreWell, my galaxy note 4 is still running fast and never seems to slow down or lag after 4 years while my new shiny xz premium chrome sometimes lags after 4 months.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2018I'm quite disappointed no one mentioned exynos bad reception issue before. Just got my first e... moreBecause there is NO bad reception issue. I have many exynos devices(both flagships and midrange) and they indeed get better reception than snapdragon ones.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2018So what's the point of a v12 when it's gonna be in a kia? Or maybe on mazda 3, where it's not ... moreHaha..typical samsung hater. Haters gonna hate no matter what.
P.S. V12 engine can't fit in mazda 3's engine bay. Get your fact right.
Onyxia, 20 Feb 2018To help people realise how big of a deal this is, below I have listed the geekbench single-cor... moreThe Exynos 9810 really just has more components without doing anything for power efficiency compared to last gen. Newer processes might help that, but we'll have to wait and see.
AnonD-573665, 20 Feb 2018I think I need to exchange my desktop pc whit this mobile phone.Your PC must not have been purchased within the last 6 years then :/
Vegetaholic, 20 Feb 2018Nothing is struggling I can a sure you that. You answer your own question. Android has more ra... moreSD 835 is ahead of the pack with GPU performance and efficiency, but CPU is another game.
OogWay, 21 Feb 2018Good to know. Hope that TouchWiz is really getting better.I owned an s6 and my god lagwiz was an abomination it pissed me off so bad at times but i changed to an s8 and boy the diff was night and day
Sure its not pixel level lag free but its a huuge step in the right direction it still drops frames like once a day or so even now but my s6 dropped framed every minute and that happened 6 months after the purchase of the s6
But ive had the s8 for almost a year now and ive yet to see it frop more then 5 frames idk why you guys call this lagwiz still
Cause from where i stand lagwiz wad destroyed with the n7
LG superfan, 20 Feb 2018I said exynis is better than snapdragon except in gpuAnd I'm specifically replying about the house.
In s1, s2, note 2, note 4, and s6, and somewhat s8 exynos was beret on you.
S3, s4, s5, s7 and somewhat s8 snapdragon had gpu leads
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2018None of my friends' S8, Note 8 and S8+ devices are lagging yet.Good to know. Hope that TouchWiz is really getting better.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2018None of my friends' S8, Note 8 and S8+ devices are lagging yet. That's because you are comparing them to other Samsung galaxies. Compare them to other flagship phones from Sony, HTC, Motorola, Huawei One Plus, etc... You'll see they lag behind those.
The gap between Galaxy S series and the next lineup, the A series, is too large to justify the ever increasing price point of the A series. Other than looks, the A series has been severely inferior in chip performance. Yet they are supposed to be the lineup just below the S series.
