Wave II was a feature phone, NOT a smart phone. Doesn't even have a book reader or properly functioning browser where you can navigate without being eclipsed by a pane.

Worst of all it doesn't have VOIP due to dirty deals with the phone networks. Samsung like them to steal our money rather than offer us choice, so they can sell handsets.

Wave III? Walk away and buy something with a supported OS!

Samsung, you screwed up a potentially awesome phone.....IDIOTS!

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2011Don't touch any Bada phone.. Samsung's very much into Android right now.Using Bada 2.01 XPKG7 right now on my Wave GT-S8500 and even though its a beta III release its pretty stable with bada 1.0 and 1.2 Widgets and apps working.

The problem though is that the Wave and Wave II don't have enough RAM with only 256MB so it is a little laggy at times and with Bada 2.01 featuring a modded version of Samsungs Touch Wiz 4.0 its not as smooth as bada 1.0/1.2.

Its a shame that Samsung are not pushing BADA on larger 4" screens ... their is money to be made but I guess they like Google's Android to much.

There's already a Bada 2.0 beta available. Also, Bada 1.0 and 1.2 were pretty good, smooth and no serious issues to fix, only more features to add.
What Bada needs is more apps.

If Bada OS want to survive then integrate skype, opera browser and other useful software into Bada OS.

Wave I was the best phone I ever had. It surpassed the build quality of the ip4. Not a single scratch in a full year. Too bad that bada os sucked.

I sold it, and I bought a SGSII. The greatest smartphone of our times. But my Wave was better ...

I will never buy a Bada phone again. Had the s8500 (Aus) for a year now, and so sick of of all the OS stupid design decisions. Update is still months away to even just get on to Bada 1.2... Don't bother with this rubbish.

well bada, reminds me of windows me. seemed like a good idea at the time.but a minute later you realise a big mistake. personally. the wave is lovely handset great screen. quite fast. and the wave 2. is even better. but then mention bada, people walk away.

if u want 500,000 + apps get a iphone. if you 250,000 apps get android. well if you want a few apps get bada. just not enough support for my liking. shame the idea is great, but poorly executed.

Why do u need bada 1.2? the best bada version is 1.0.2 becouse it have the least bugs.

p.s. sorry for my english =)
