someone, 21 Feb 2018Then u need to be more advanced .. lol ... Android pay is so horrible when compared to samsung pay.Samsung pay needs far more banks on board to be a viable proposition in the UK. At least four of the major banks here don't support it. Nat West, Lloyds, Barclays and Halifax for example. Without major players it's a dead duck.

FromChinaWithLove, 20 Feb 2018A redesign Android pay App, and it is still a NFC way of pay? Why not use QR code? Like how We... moreThey do work well together. All of then use nfc. As long as one shop accepts nfc payment you can pay with contactless, android, apple, samnsung etc.

Here in the UK almost all shops have contactless terminals which means you can pay by tapping your credit card, Android, Apple, Samsung or whatever. You can even use your phone to pay for travel in London instead of buying a ticket or card!

m-p-3, 20 Feb 2018In Canada it is quite popular to pay with NFC, so yes. After seeing how the wechat Pay work with QR code, and also very few of the Americans company are also trying to adopt it into their system.

I find QR code is somewhat better, and of course I'm not saying NFC is bad( consider the motion and everything you do with your phone seems somewhat the same).

With NFC, you open the App and select the card(like Google Pay now allow to stores many cards), then hold the phone close to the terminal/machine to beam Info from your phone to their terminal.

With QR code, you also open the App, and if the app support multi cards, you simply select one and let the cashier Scan the QR code ( if you ever use the Starbucks App, then you would understand how it works in a similar way, while Starbucks App scan the barcode of course.)

Chase Bank with their Chase Pay are now using the QR code, I believe. Funny thing is that I'm a Chase customer and also got the App, but I never actually try to use the App and continue to using the card instead!

PayPal is another one that also started to use QR code, for requesting money from friends, families, or even vendor etc. with a link from the App.

QR code also don't show much of the card info/number too, I believe. As it just a QR code picture show up on your phone screen. ( Especially when Google is saying that the new App doesn't share the card's number with the stores).

google should have named it google pay from the beginning, as now EPOS suppliers are going to have to update all their terminals, and stores will need to replace their stickers showing which payment methods they accept.

but it's a good move to remove and allows to cross platform usage, without confusing iphone users, hopefully.

A redesign Android pay App, and it is still a NFC way of pay? Why not use QR code? Like how Wechat and Alipay did, which also reported on this website weeks ago.

The funny thing here in America ( or even the whole Western) is that, everybody making their own Pay app, but most of them don't really work well with the other!

Android Pay ( now , Google pay), Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Chase Pay, what's the name of the App from Wells Fargo?

Why so many Apps? That's kind of waste time and efforts, if they can't work with others as well!
