I don't need any of that stuff but I still want it so bad. seems like only phone out there that's actually different from the rest, and not gimmicky different like curved screen or snap-on accessories.

The FLIR thermal camera alone makes the price very attractive, the phone itself is very good in specs since this is a more like a tool not a regular media device.

This is the knight in shining armor of smarthones. It also looks that it has gone to hell and back. The innards aren't too shabby either; since you're paying more for its durability, not performance. If you're looking for performance then go for a flagship.

I know someone with the older model, the thermal camera is really cool - in some cases you can use it to see where you're going in the dark. The screen isn't too accurate but it's more important that you can see it outdoors, but the main camera is just awful. Not even "bad" but awful, slightly better than taking photos with a potato. So if camera is important to you, don't look at CAT. For an outdoor tool, they are great.

Phone is costly anyway it should have at least snapdragon 835 maybe 845 or 660 at least.
But i understand that this phone is for a special people.
Like mountaineers, cavers, canal workers, firemens or those working within the powerplants area.

Full sized VOC sensing device is for 400+. Thermal vga camera is for 300, HD one on flir site cost 36.000, if this one got HD thermal camera... I'm drolling already. Its on level like not do I want or need it, but when I can buy it. Will just wait to see if its real.

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2018No way . Sd630 should be max $500I tried looking on FLIRs's website and the cheapest product I could find and actually understand a bit of what that object does was about 3000$.
In case you never heard of FLIR, they are the ones supplying armies with high tech equipment for surveillance form air (infra red, ultaviolet etc).
The equipment in that phone is definitely not made for you, but for people with degrees in their respective field of work.

Sd630 should be max $500the processor may be a bit lower although still powerful but its the thermal camera and environment detectors and such making it expensive i reckon, if the world falls into a nuclear war then this phone would be the one to use for survival with those bits of kit telling you if an environment is safe and the thermal would be good
