What I want is an Android version of the ipad pro with a bigger battery.
AnonD-433808, 23 Feb 2018I don't understand why there is no tablet with power and memory comparable to flagship phone ?... moreiPad and Microsoft Surface. They both have styluses and offer the best performance.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2018snapdragon 835, 4gb ram, 9000 mah battery, and two speakers on each side facing towards you. ... moreSo 2016 (ram) - 2017 (soc) specs? Why would you wait for that? Those are mid range specs.
Tablet sales has been in declines because you rarely see any flagship tablet with premium specs being released anymore. It's always mid-range specs. Why would anyone upgrade their tablet if their 5.5 inch phone have better specs?
What I want is a 10 inch tablet, snapdragon 835, 4 gb ram, 2 speakers up front, a beefy 9000mah battery and a minimum of 1080p resolution. Forget about creating a thin tablet. This will be a workhorse tablet. Something you can actually run all day to replace your laptop. A beefy cpu and huge battery, put a gamepad on it and you can market it as a serious gaming tablet. I'm hoping the tab S4 comes with a bigger battery this time.
I don't understand why there is no tablet with power and memory comparable to flagship phone ?
There is simply no use of tablet if one can't do 'more' on tablet. Also, we are seeing more and more 2 in 1 ultrabooks, I don't see a reason why manufacturers are staying away from making stylus for tablets.
Kiyasuriin, 23 Feb 2018It's tablets we're talking about. not phones. so the minijack remains.Sorry to disappoint You:
No minijack in all 3 of them - 8,4", 10" and 10" Pro.
Unless the video you're watching happens to match your tablets ratio exactly, there's always black bars. It's a complete non issue, especially on Amoled displays.
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2018Yeah, and no minijack... I wonder what's the reason this time? Still not enough space in the case? It's tablets we're talking about. not phones. so the minijack remains.

Ham. read the article please. line 4 in the article SPECIFICALLY mentions 4 GB of RAM. (I know we're supposed to take it with a pinch of salt. but I find that quite legit) the memory expandability is nearly mandatory in tablets of android. (There are very few ANDROID tablets that offer no expandable memory. 10% of the tablets if my memory is not mistaken) and since the resolution is FWQHD (1600x2560) I assume we'll get a 960 or 970.

(perhaps even this year phones will kiss two digits RAM amount. but we can't be sure) but the reality is that no tablet. (sans Windows obviously) has over 4 GB of ram.
If it's 6GB ram, expandable to 1TB microSD storage & 2.5GHz Kirin 970, that would be so very tempting....

It's more logical for a tablet to have more RAM. Don't see any impendance to that, other than greed of manufacturers that want you too buy a new device every year.

I wonder about a lot of bashing around Sony's design! In 2016/17/18.. How about micro USB in 2018!??
Joe, 22 Feb 2018No 4:3 no buy. 4:3 is more for multi purpose i.e. books, browsing, videos, comics, games etc.VIDEOS in 4:3??????!!!!!! wow. I'd agree for games and others, but the blackbars are mega annoying when watching videos!
