arun5959, 23 Feb 2018The day Sony loses bezels from their phones, profits will be come pouring in. Like LG profit pouring in?
With all the bezeless, they cant get out of deep red.
Dont talk nonsens.
Sony is next, but not for bezel, but the headphone jack.
I personally will not recommend this jack less phine ti anyone.
WHAT?? wow they are killing again the COMPACT u.u come on sony... no stereo speakers for the small one? reallyy :((
arun5959, 23 Feb 2018The day Sony loses bezels from their phones, profits will be come pouring in. But it will be a shock for the old sony fans! I could already sense their demise on this device because of the following:
1. No Headphone jack.
2. No More side FPS to unlock the phone. You have to lift it.
3. Small battery capacity.
4. The smaller one get's no wireless charging and stereo speakers.
5. It's just looks like a HTC ripoff.
Wow Absulutely a looker, until I've reached the dealbreaker. no 3.5mm jack. sorry Sony. I realy wanted to try you as a daily driver. (Even though I am still looking at the beasty S9Ex version)
AnonD-481725, 23 Feb 2018You managed to make sense only in the third one, a little bit in the first one. Why do you say so???
AnonD-739753, 23 Feb 2018I'm disappointed with three things.
Firstly, design is just okay. Honestly not exciting. Maxi... more"what mainly differentiates Sony from other devices is the finger print sensor placement. Integrating the finger print reader into the power button is the greatest idea and placing it on the side is more than awesome". What about the under the display FPS just like the new vivo smartphone?
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2018Still can't beat Samsung.Even if you are a 9 year old you are definitely referring to the sales and nothing else.
I REALLY HOPE they keep the STEREO SPEAKERS in the compact. If they take the jack off it's the least they should do. Also have the wireless charge. They are supposed to be mini flagship. DON'T RUIN THE COMPACT SONY.
Looks good but personally I don't like the branding on front side
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2018Still can't beat Samsung.Hahahah... Wait n watch... Open your eyes and see specification of Sony Xperia XZ2... Still beat Your S9..
Sony, 23 Feb 2018They said wait for Mirai and this is what you get. curved screen? No 3.5mm jack? 18:9 ratio? T... moreSeriously?? Sony been the most loyal company to their fans, now because they want to achieve more interest as much as they deserve you guys want to bash it.
LG superfan, 23 Feb 2018Honesy not much of a design change but they shouldve kept older back design (camera on corner)... moreGet your eyes checked. This XZ2 looks no way similar to the older Xperias. Curved back, different camera and FP location, different speaker grilles, no signature Sony power button, and rounded corners.
I'm disappointed with three things.
Firstly, design is just okay. Honestly not exciting. Maximizing the screen to body ratio kept aside, I personally like the sharp edges.
Secondly, what mainly differentiates Sony from other devices is the finger print sensor placement. Integrating the finger print reader into the power button is the greatest idea and placing it on the side is more than awesome.
Finally, about the missing dual camera setup. Sony is already experiencing the worst scores in Dxomark. It's highly difficult to attract the customers only with the slow-mo. Because, now a days many people are fascinated towards dual camera irrespective of it's implementation(like wide angle, telephoto lens...) so greatly that, few companies have already implemented even in their entry and mid level devices. Though Sony have some extremely awful camera features, I think this is not a safe way to play this game.
Waiting for Sony Xperia XZ2 pro..
Beast is coming soon... SONY!!! This is your year 2018
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2018Ugly phone.
That camera placement is horrible, it should be at the top. The body also looks... moreWrong. The camera SHOULD NOT be at the top. Why? Because this way you can hold the phone firmly, with all of your fingers. If it's on the top, you have to hold it with two fingers, by the edges, watching not to cover the lens with your other fingers.
So, this is a much better placement than at the top.
Faizal Firdaus, 23 Feb 2018The design seems OK. But still I find many things lacking here which would definitely bring ... moreYou managed to make sense only in the third one, a little bit in the first one.
