Honesy not much of a design change but they shouldve kept older back design (camera on corner) that one was better imo

And this location of scanner doesn't work in the US versions, so rear mounted is currently the best solution for it. Until screen embedded scanners arrive, we'll have to use what we've got now, because regardless, it's better than nothing.

18:9 is a mix of nothing but people's demand. This ratio will be popular for smartphones in the future, for a fact that split screen multitasking works better in this way as the screen is divided equally into two. There are still some other uses of the new ratio, so instead of complaining, why not seek for its benefits instead?
No 3.5mm jack is still a rumour to me. I'll be holding breath for that, but honestly I'd be disappointed if it gets removed and give me back nothing in return.
You said Sony doesn't listen to customers. If it is the case, we won't be seeing this new Mirai design, instead we will get a slightly modified XZ Premium design.
If they don't listen, they won't shave the bezels a bit.
They did listen. They did. It's obvious, according to the changes and improvements.

If this design is true, the back design gives me that Sony Ericsson vibe. What I love about how Sony designs its phones is that, they always appear neat and classy.

The back has some strange LG G6 feel to it.
Regardless, design change is what we've all wanted Sony to do, so they're just giving us what we've asked.
We may not like it at all but let's appreciate for a second that Sony is listening to us. This is better than staying true to OmniBalance.
Those bezels, Idk but I'll wait for the official ones.
Maybe reality devices have smaller ones, but we'll see.
Either way, any bezels that are smaller is always appreciated.
As for the 3.5mm jack, I guess they have just replaced it with 4.4mm Balanced Output Jack, which is found on their high end Walkman music players. If it means better audio quality, then there's no hesitation.
But I'd be honest. I'll be disappointed to loose the 3.5mm jack and get nothing in return.

S9 has 8MP 1/4".
Xz2 has 13MP 1/3".
1/4" is half of 1/3". It has to be done according to inner pieces, not just say LET'S DO IT SMALL.
This is why Compact does not have 13MP selfie.
