However just because they have a nice design and pushed water resistance doesn't mean they are doing a good job at all around pushing the potential of their technology and devices. Or they are making all the right decisions. Especially when they don't market well and barely release it. And have garbage customer service.
Again. They hold themselves back.
If If he hadn't been making these same mistakes for years now and actually grabbed the bull by the horns and made their devices market leading like they can then they wouldn't even have had to go this route in a desperate attempt to stay relevant. And even now they still didn't have to. They can still make a turn around. But the people in charge who make these decisions are to blind to see this and this is the oitcome.
It is not simply because...oh the market made them do it.
Wake up and smell the reality. Stop being an occult follower to Sony. They are not the best company in the world. They are not the only company that innovated or brought good things. Their phones are not the best in everything. Their software is nice but is not God.
Just like pixel is not God in camera or software. And iPhone and iOS are severely overrated and not really always actually that amazing in optimizing or quality.
Just because other people or even real actual Sony fans unlike your blind followers state the truth about Sony doesn't mean you all have to flock in and cry wolf.

Look bro I know Sony ain't perfect and their had their mistakes but what your saying is wrong because when the omnibalace was there Sony wasn't innovating and leading??? When Sony made the water prove Sony wasn't innovating and leading??? When was making the the 960f/s Sony wasn't innovating and leading and when Sony was making the 4K phone, Sony wasn't innovating and leading???? And now, when it makes the Acoustic Surface Audio , it will innovate and lead as Shepard and they will follow as sheep.
So where is the media when those things where happening??? Where were the audience when that was happening??? Ohh Yeah, they were busy criticising Sony's design language and bezels.
I hope you see that the people and the media was responsible for this change not on themselves.
I know if Sony made the previous phones with slim bezels with their omnibalance it would have been nice but the change was eminent so the people were demanding and even some fans too

But you keep acting this way and can't handle the facts. Sony makes nice phones but could easily do much more and accruing be leading. But instead they keep making poor decision one after another.
And this is just another poor decision.
Outs simple the reality of the situation no matey how much you cry that it isn't and want someone else to blame so you can pretend your favorite company is perfect and without flaws.
But that's just not how it works. Take your own advice or keep getting schooled. Up to you

This is so sad. Sony is the company that invented Walkman in 1979. Other companies remove headphone jack, who cares. Sony removes headphone jack, it's an insult to their company's legacy and history. This is called "forgetting your roots" and Sony Mobile should just go away at this point.

Sony had side FPS, "oh sony is goin... moreWill not buy XZ2 because:
1. Copycat design of HTC or/and Samsung;
2. Moving FPS on the back - most inconvenient place for me;
3. Removing headphone jack - I do not want to carry dongle in my pocket or jacket.
XZ Premium user here. And my biggest complains about that phone - plastic frame is not good enough, bad camera performance in low light in superior auto. I don't care about the bezels and ff camera, but I use a lot headphones...
Everyone have right to tell what he/she fee?L's about this story. I'm not positive about this phone. Hope there will be new Premium or Pro but with "squarish" design - my favorite.
