S9 is mushy and have aberration in colors with all its dual sensors and optical stabilization. Sony doesn't need that to be great! Speed? Top Notch!

Mushy, over saturated, and for 200 iso night shots are still grainy. It's only the placebo of its rename and the features of its stock camera. But Sony devices can be improved by much different settings and/or apps. 12mp of Samsung/Huawei-Leica is lower in quality than 12mp of Sony at least on daylight. Indeed 20 or over 20 mp of Sony is an forced 12mp, but still can be improved in many ways. So Sony it's not for noobs. That's a tested proof!

And being mad at people in every single page just for not praising Sony for everything like they do. Or if poodle have real life issues with Sony like real users and fans.

So, Sony isn't capable of building software to match its own camera sensors ? Thats quite disgusting. But other brands with the same Sony sensor are capable of designing great software. So, Sony owners must search and setup aftermarket software for Sony phones ? Perhaps Sony should approach other brands for help. You know that the Sony sensor is the only part the Sony makes in it phones.

I did a lot of testing. Indeed their stock is not enough but with other apps the results are so great. Try them in all aspects then comment. Admins don't have time to test other apps on Sony models but only their stock camera app. That is why Sony wins for some people, because those are much eager to find the quality in Sony devices. And that surely doesn't mean that they are trolls or fanatics. Please take note!

probably some setting problem, mine handle exposure just fine with its auto mode and its predictive focus tracking keep my face and eye always in focus a bit much like eye AF of sony camera.

One comment though: my Xperia XZ1 doesn't react even nearly as badly as your test unit. My selfie cam is very good in almost all situations, except of course low light. Wouldn't trade my phone or its cameras for any other phone.
