A smart move here? Launch this thing with the latest/newest OS.
Makk4096, 25 Feb 2018So, if the ThinQ platform is really coming to the OG V30 & V30+, then the only difference ... moreI would hope it's cheaper. They really cut corners with the camera sensors and ram. Though they are not alone on the ram
The only gripe I have with the OG LG V30 & V30+ is the front camera. Otherwise the device is good enough to run for 3-4+ years for a moderate user.
Looks like a strategy to basically keep selling the same phone
without hurting the already-very-high price.
Doesn't look fair, Samsung turns out to be cheaper and of greater value.
So, if the ThinQ platform is really coming to the OG V30 & V30+, then the only difference is the additional 2GB ram & the bumped up storage.
If that is so, I'll get the OG V30+ here in India which is 45k INR, already alot cheap than Galaxy S8, Pixel 2 & HTC U11+.
It's pretty amazing that at no point in time the LG committee thought "the selfies camera suck" after LG G6 and V30 and G6+
One option I was looking for to pick is gone. Lets see other options.
It's the year 2319 and LG is introducing another version of the LG V30 With the name "LG i-V30+ Extreme S XL ThinQ Ultra MAXX Forth generation 2319 Edition"
How hard it is to listen to their consumers? They only beefed up the ram and memory and added some software features. But still it has that poor front facing cam. Though the bright mode seems nice but still not enough to catch up to the competition. If you want to succeed make sure your smartphone is a comlete package. If im gonna pay for a $800-1000 phone i'll make sure it checks all the boxes. I do hope LG is saving every good features for their judy phone but if its still the same then LG=Long Gone. If only they would just listen to their consumers or even their loyal fans everything would be different. But no they're are just focusing on the competition and copy what others would do. I still have high hopes for lg because the g4 i owned was one of the bezt i've ever use(till it bootlooped). Goodluck LG.
Honestly I thought it would be a thin phone "Thin Q" haha! But no. ThinQ=Think. It's just a beefed up V30 trying to be a Pixel or S8 on steroids. Pass.
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2018 Don't jump to conclusions. They have a new CEO right? New decisions being made. Maybe good, ... moreWell going back to lcd on there next flagship is bad, but guess it is to have some time to improve PoLED I hope and we will see it come back later. Till then I will use my LG V30 with PoLED.
Mzma PIB, 25 Feb 2018By 2020 LG future end up same as current HTC and that time HTC no longer in business. Don't jump to conclusions. They have a new CEO right?
New decisions being made. Maybe good, maybe bad, maybe the same. Time will tell
Still they failed to upgrade the selfie camera. Who cares about so much memory when there is expandable storage ? LG fails again.
Too little too late, LG. One of the reasons why I didn't purchase the LG V30 was because the competition was offering better performance, more RAM and an AMOLED screen.
By 2020 LG future end up same as current HTC and that time HTC no longer in business.
Only RAM upgrade and Software update which will come to base version later? No other things added like dedicated NPU hardware? Pass.
Boring again by LG..
Is LG serious, or just wanna troll people ?
