Anonymous, 26 Feb 2018Just read anandtech, time to come back to earth.... The big core can only reach 2.7ghz when... morebut why would you want the big processor to run @ full speed when going multi core? The actual usage for phones will never use that in reality. Most apps will only utilize the single core... unless if you're one of those folks who like to do their full video editing with the necessary app that enables proper multi-core scaling on their phone instead of a real computer...

and a 1 hr battery life if used at anywhere even close to maximum speeds.
My Huawei Y7 has a SD435, 4000mAh battery & an Antutu score 56100. More importantly, since I don't give a stuff about graphics performance & gaming, I get 2-3 days of use from it

Cant believe s8 to s9 differ3nce is 2000 to 3600 single core score.. Thats 80% increase in cpu power... Im sure in 2018 most mid range phones will beat s8 easily.. Rip my s8 rip unfair upgrade. Rip my last phone.

In Android cpu performance is much more important than the gpu performance since there are currently no games that can utilize snapdragon 820 full performance.
In real time comparison single core cpu performance is even more beneficial. So exynos 9810 is better soc than the snapdragon 845.

Just read anandtech, time to come back to earth....

The big core can only reach 2.7ghz when one of it is in use, when 4 is in use it runs at 1.8ghz... This looks like something good for geekbench only. 😣 Like kirin 960's 1ghz gpu all over again.

Performance difference because one is using Exynos and the other is SD, and the reason is due to software, not hardware differences?

Mighty impressive benchmarks! The single core and multi core benchmarks are miles ahead of previous gen Android phones. Hopefully the S10 will pack an even more power efficient 7nm Exynos processor.. Waiting to see how the Snapdragon variant fares against the beastly Exynos variant.

An information confirmed by Samsung Brazil, is that the S9 in Brazil, will also unexpectedly use the SD 845.

Impressive benchmarks. In the past, the S9 (2018) benchmarks would have lost to the iphone 7 (2016) in single core tests, and barely win in the multi core scores! This time, the S9 is very close to the iphone X in both tests!

For those wondering how close benchmark was:
iphone X vs galaxy S9 exynos
-Geekbench 4.1 (single core): 4256 vs 3698
-GeekBench 4.1(multi core): 10215 vs 8976

Exynos is the only processor in the market which has a gpu that can encode and decode 4k videos at 120 fps. That the sd 845 cannot do.

Almost twice single core perfomance is a big improvement, now the gap between iPhone cpu and Samsung is smaller.
