Many of... moreIndeed. These, and all other so-called 'great' shots only look great on small displays. They fall apart the moment you view on any relatively large, modern display.
They look quite poor on a 5K screen showing at actual size (4k x 2k pixels) and, whilst I didn't expect them to compare favourably to a full frame camera (newsflash: they don't), they don't look much better than older S6/S7/Pixel/6s images I've taken in the past.
I don't blame Samsung, Google, Apple, etc. as there's only so much phones can realistically pull out of such tiny sensors, regardless of post processing and faked bokeh ring to mask sensor crop factor resulting in poor DoF.
Here's hoping Sony can produce some magic and get the RX100 sensor (1-inch) into mobiles... that would be a start. Until then, it all seems a bit 'pigs in lipstick'.

Hayaan Mo Sila, 25 Feb 2018Yep, it is amazing indeed. Thank you Sony for the 3-layer sensor. It is isocell sensor.
Not an exmor rs..
Samsung copied the sensor, but modified the stacking process to avoid patent issues...
can we take a moment to appreciate how impressive are the skin tones in these sample pictures?
By the way, saying the camera is good when samples were taken from the manufacturers, is the same as saying the phone is the best, because the manufacturer said so. Let unbiased people make review the camera of the S9/S9+, than build your own opinion on the topic. The photos look great, but these are official from Samsung, of course they have to look great. Let's wait a little while for the reviews...
For the camera review, I'll wait for Juan Bagnell of 'Pocketnow'. He's one of the best, when it comes to camera reviews.
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2018The slow-mo video.. Is it the 960fps? It does not seem as slow as XZP. It is just as slow, even though I also thought of that at the very start.
SohailSays, 25 Feb 2018OMG! The cameras made me go WOW! Stunning! Yep, it is amazing indeed. Thank you Sony for the 3-layer sensor.
I wonder if S9 will have so much barrel / pincushion distortion so it's predecessors?
As for those pictures there is old samsung tactic. Most bridges, buildings or roads are curved.
it's hard to tell.

Many of... moreAgreed. Hopefully this is due to upload quality and the original files are better.
As expected, stacking didn't help remove noise from sky with f2.4 , also low light noise went digital. With low res and noise removal sure looks like painting. Well, thats the worst I can say about it, f2.4 actually takes all-in-focus like shots and videos. While usable, real performer it is with aperture f1.5 , lossless. Low light shots are also great, same slo mo - no need to wait for sun anymore. Audio feels same as always.

Many of them have a lot of noise.
The blonde girl playing with firework, her hair is destroyed.
There is one sample of a brigde at night, full of blur...
Bring us a comparison of S9 and Pixel 2 cameras asap. The video will be guaranteed a million Youtube views ;)
Everyone please wait for gsmarena or other reviewers comparisions instead of already comparing it to the s8 when it's actually impossible.
That photo of man and woman on the ground, near her elbow there is strong corner softness
Selfie is still crap.
Overexposing the background.
Looks like no HDR on front.
Something is weird. I thought with f1.5 the ISO would be lower.
Some night shots have ISO 200 and shutter not really correct for this value.
