Xiaomi UI also needs to be researched they need to buy CPU and GPU from Qualcomm pay staff, pay their warehouses and shops worldvide etc. And yet a flagship cost 350 eur.
Also cxiaomi dont need any advertising at all to sell a flagship for 350 eur.
Mi7 will sells like hot fresh french bagguetes for 350 eur.
Where Samsung spend millions of promoting A8 which barelly selling.
In my shop i did not sold even a piece. Price tag of 549 is just too much.
Nor any of my colleagues in other 40 our shops in this country in Slovakia sold even a single unit of A8.

No thanks. Samsung is not just a hardware manufacturing company, isn't it? Nor Samsung is manufacturing just S9 without any software.
Samsung is developing a rich software, paying royalties for the licenses hardware & software, marketing the device, shipping & importing etc. So don't look at only BOM of the device, lot of other costs are included like above.
Otherwise, scenario will be like, you traveling to Vietnam or UK or some other place to pick up the phone (dummy) which does not have any software, how does that sound like? And if they don't advertize then you wouldn't even know. Hence we need to pay for all that and of course they need to make profit so that they can invest in futuristic technologies and increase/improve production quality.

On sale for up to near 400 off at pre order with a lot more updates than s8 and you're complaining about design. 30 percent more efficient, 20 percent faster, dual audio (1.4x louder), loaded with lots of new camera features including 4K 60FPS smooth videos, new Bixby features that translate real life signs and all sorts of cool stuff, and it's not a hell of an upgrade? There are more upgrades like Dolby Atmos sound, Harmon Kardon and AKG tech in it, and more

In Germany you will get 100 Euros off an the possibility to trade in your old device for up to 450 Euro. And there is also an update programme where you can get every year the newest Galaxy phone.

zahor, 26 Feb 2018no special design, same s8 design, no thanks The s8 is a beautiful device why drastically change a design that works. The design was never going to be huge. The s6 to s7, not many changes s8-9 not manu changes, thr design change will come with s10 or X whatever they call it. On another note, iPhone's hardly change design and people still buy that phone.

Physically the design is same as my S8+ but it has got more thicker than before and weight also increased to 189 gm. only changes made r in hardware. both s8 family and S9 are on oreo now. So i aint buying it unless the camera was bumped to atleast 20 mp. Then its a good deal.
