MdN8, 26 Feb 2018And OIS, something that Sony forgot about. No phone with 1/2.3" has ever had OIS.

I wanna ask to Sony fans, is 960fps video only for Sony? So any smartphone can't have that feature?

Sony has patented 4 layers, while Samsung has 3 layers to avoid Sony patents.
I'm not a video person, i don't really care much about super slow motion and what i really care about is how they use this technology for noise reduction too.
And about Samsung has used mix camera sensor between theirs and Sony's, Samsung design their own sensor, and Sony help them by making it, it's because Samsung has its limitations to produce theirs sensor.
Remember Samsung SemiConductor division is the divison who makes Qualcomm chipset and Exynos chipset.

If they never made this 960fps slow motion camera, our smartphones would be stuck at 240fps until, let's say 2020.

Yeah right... after buying the sensors/modules from sony. They are now tweaking it to sound innovative. That's exactly the reason why it's not coming with the S9 duo... Sony just don't patent stuffs that's why sheeps of other brands brag about all their second hand "innovations". Others patent so much stuff to the point of stopping sony from using side FPS... *SIGHS*

I remember how "GIMMICK" this was according to samsung loyalists... SMH

ps. now there is one other smart home/speaker product that is having a screen just like Sony's home robot.
