Well, with Sony Ericsson pushing out rapid updates to their devices now, I feel the Xperia line will be amongst the first to receive 2.4.

AnonD-1131, 11 Aug 2011Yes it will. Just expect around 6 months or more before it gets available for the SGS 2. Not quite. HTC and Samsung will update their devices. Motorola will totally ignore it. Sony Ericsson may eventually update after everyone shout and hollers!

Speaking of Nexuses they should be releasing Nexus 3 /Prime with the new O/S on it..

That's why am holding myself from upgrading from IPhone 3GS to Samsung SII ! On IOS when an update come it's violla every IP user gona get the update at the same time and won't get left behind. But I've been doing research on Android forums for a while b4 buying the SII and all I can read is " when can I get the latest Firmware in my region ?" and of course the battery life problem in almost every Android phone !
Am going to wait till iPhone 5 release although I heard that it's having the same SII heat problem cause it's thin . Will wait and see .
