AnonD-252, 11 Aug 2011"stability of an Symbian"? Symbian have no stability at all, my recently updated N97... moresuch a lie....mine is e6 with symbian anna...never crash with long lasting battery, symbian still a good os
been using a galaxy which is last only for 4 hours, who can live with such device????
is coming India N9....really nice and suprising
AnonD-17477, 11 Aug 2011Well dude it depends, as a Symbian^3 user I feel WP7 is a halfbaked poor excuse of a mobile OS... moreand why exactly do u don't prefer Android ?
adi, 11 Aug 2011another great idea from mr Elop i guess. it wont make me buy WP7 handset instead for sure. h... moreYes, i agree. Why the hell people want more than 3 millions apps when in the end they will only buy few apps which is commonly used in all platforms now (eg. Angry bird and Quickoffice, which are available for iOS, Android and Symbian). Support for 2-3 years for a phone is good enough like u said as long as the user experienced in using the phone is great.
Also in Germany.. Marvelous elop. Let's hear your excuse when WP turns out a flop. Will you be handing out your resignation papers pronto and return your previous salary to Nokia out of shame? Tsk! Tsk! =/
Yehey! N9 is coming to the Philippines! :)
What are you doing Nokia, just what are you doing?!
I want to kick Elop in the groin right now.
Anonymous, 11 Aug 2011Seriously folks do we really need another OS?!Well dude it depends, as a Symbian^3 user I feel WP7 is a halfbaked poor excuse of a mobile OS, I can't stand apple products so iOS is out of the question and I just don't feel anything for android. So webOS and Meego and any other options for me are very well received.
correction: I wasnt saying apple are korean, they are of course american.
my guess as to the reason why nokia are not launching the N9 in either the US or UK is because they know they have lost the smartphone market in these countries. americans prefer motorolas and apple and in the UK we prefer the korean offerings from the likes of samsung and of course apple. sadly nokia have lost the game. its not just the hardware thats behind its the firmware too!
I will import an N9 as soon as possible and I will never buy an MS-based device. Elop == fail.
quiver, 11 Aug 2011sorry man, guess you haven't heard the word that n9 can run all android apps.. N9 can run Android apps but not ALL. You do know N9 needs another program in order for it to run Android apps right? Apps in the Android market is very fragmented due to diversity in CPU manufacturers.
Seriously folks do we really need another OS?!
Solution: Ebay!
another great idea from mr Elop i guess. it wont make me buy WP7 handset instead for sure.
has he charmed all Nokia investors or Microsoft already owns most Nokia shares.
i own Nokia e72 and im still content but thinking to get replacement. i am interested in N9 coz i like simplicity of it. i don't need 3 million apps so im not worry about it and for couple of years it will be supported any way and thats enough i think.
whats your opinion guys abut it?
It's so sad to see Nokia killing themselves, they're totally DONE! :(
Rafael.avg, 11 Aug 2011When will be released here in Brazil? I'm anxious! =DThere is already a Brazilian site of the N9.Here it is: http://www.nokia.com.br/produtos/celulares/nokia-n9
Depending on the price, it may turn quite an interesting device to try.
i m living in uk n i like n9 so much n please tel me when i get it from here, please release it , i want to buy it urgently ,
AnonD-252, 11 Aug 2011"stability of an Symbian"? Symbian have no stability at all, my recently updated N97... moreDo not speak for me thank you. My N8 works fine on Symbian Anna, and it has on previous firmwares. It doesn't crash, and it doesn't freeze.
