im out of the labor market now, but i would be thrilled just to have the model 60, i still consult, but 120F thermal would do what i need it to do, but everything seems to be OUT OF ORDER on their website, I had a Motorola mil spec phone in past, wasnt so great, it broke, the toughest i had was a Casio, and both are still running, and they are over 10 years old, i even had samsung convoy and went thru 4 phones in 3 years, not tough enough, but the prices now are beyond ridiculous, 1k for a smart phone, even 500 is pushing the threshold of sanity, unless your going to get 10 years out of it, its not worth it, I hope their product and support stays sensible.

I wonder if it has a capped 10fps on the flir sensor and if it's super laggy as my S60 is in the thermal department?

Are the caps for headphone and charger only for dust protection?
If they are necessary for the water protection, well then they need to go back to the drawing board, as others have achieved that, without caps... And when the seal gets worn, the phone would in that case no longer be protected against water...
I hope they are just for dust protection.

I like the idea of a phone that does things that few other does.
That is the type of phone I like to own, even if I would not really use those features.
However a good physical keyboard is higher on my priority list, as that is something I would benefit from, and I would want that even if every other phone had that.

This is actually very valuable tool for people in dating. Instead of playing with your luck in a club, use the wonderful camera to find the girl/or the boy with biggest "itch" and up your chances of landing at least one night stand

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2018This is a proof that it's anyone commenting. The thermal camera IS an IR camera. I get it now, but what I mean is to use just part of spectrum for photography using LEDs and such.

Akorn Farmer, 27 Feb 2018I like this phone. I will call it a Hummer SUV of smartphone. But I hate the un-removable batt... moreYou are right except the Hummer SUV part. I'd prefer to call it the Jeep Wrangler smartphone. Peace haha.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2018No IR Blaster, No buy ! thanksLmao, If only comments could be pinned...

This is a phone for a skilled tradesman and obviously not for someone who just wants to change tv channels with their phone.

Super interesting and CAT finally used a good chip (although Snapdragon 636 or 660 would have been even better - workphones need horsepower too).
If the price eventually drops, I might be interested in picking one up. Also, Treble is supported, good one, CAT, I approve (thumbs up).
