I'm a fan of the compact models from Sony, but the fact that in Europe all the XZ2 compact models have 4gb, and only the standard 5,7 inch XZ2 models have 6 gb RAM, have made me not liking Sony anymore and switcing to other mobile manufacturers.

4, 6 or 8, does it matter? Just look back to all the user demands "we need more RAM", and RAM has increased very fast but has performance really increased? Its getting more and more clear that lack of RAM has nothing to do with Androids poor real life performance. It will not help, the reason your 4GB phone show 100MB RAM left is simply the way the linux kernel work, it doesnt have to be purged but can be overwritten directly, no slowdown. Even 40GB RAM will not help, RAM is not the bottleneck.

More Ram does mean better multitasking. And concidering that how an XA1 with a mtk P20 cpu beats S8 with 835 on multitasking, I am really intrested to see how this turns out.

That's what should be default for every version or at least for the non-compact version, like Samsung did with s9 and s9+.

Surely you don't think capacity isn't everything, do you?

As long as it is fully optimised, the device can fully utilise it with a lag/freeze/stutter free experience then its all good.

Its because china phone such as 6gb ram in Honor View 10, 8gb ram in Oneplus 5T, for just $500. 4gb ram nowadays are only for mid range smartphone in china. Sony price higher, so they have to compete.

I will wait to see the Premium.
If it has design of XZ2, I will buy XZP.
The position of camera and different speakers are awful to me.
I like the loop, phone can stand without tripod.

O... moreYou can say whatever you want but the comments on that video and user opinion on gsmarena about XZ2 don't lie! Fans are disappointed.
I myself own an XZ Premium and this XZ2 is definitely not up to Sony's class, heck even the XZ1 looks far better than XZ2 at least its unique and not a clone of Lumia 920 and U11. But that is just my personal opinion to which many will agree. As a Sony user it's sad to see what they are doing, hope they survive until next Xperia's are released.
