Anonymous, 11 Aug 2011I agree. If I owned an sgs 2 now I'd be worried about how long it will be supported for. When ... moreI wouldn't be too worried about updates. These days hardware is also getting outdated as fast as software/platforms.

In a few years it's probably time to change a new phone. And if you're keeping your old phone, newer software/platforms might not be supported on it.

When ... moreI think you are not quite right in saying that Samsung forgets its previous devices. Remember, Samsung are the ones who rigoursly worked on Gingerbread upgrade for Galaxy S i19000 more than a year later and near its release of SGS 2.
I dont think anyother guys have done that.

I love higher res screens specially on Android but hey! why don't HTC and Samsung use the same resolution for God sake? HTC launched qHD and now Samsung 720p! How the apps and games producers are gonna follow now??
I am gonna sell my SGS2 right now because it will lose 50% of its price once those new models will be out :(
At least HTC doesn't launch better phones just right after they launch a ''flagship'' phone

When ... moreI don't agree samsung has proven over the past 2 years that they still support their older devices for example the galaxy s i9000 is well over a year old and is still enjoying the latest updates,i guess cell phones is becoming much like computers these days you buy the latest phone today and a week later another company comes up with something even better i guess thats something we have to get use to in this ever changing and evolving era we are privileged to be living in

Samsung was one of the first to release Gingerbread for their flagship device - namely the Galaxy S at that point. HTC recently released it for Desire, with warnings that it might make your phone lose SMS/MMS capabilities.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2011and apple will release 10 justice lawsuitsHaha, new justice league. Apple Avenger. Apple wont win in this race. Samsung is play a ability to create more avenger then apple game. When the lawsuit get over, the model which apple claim long gone with newer avenger fighting. Is better for apple to fight direct then call police.

Why buy a Samsung when 2 weeks later a new mobile is released. It you go to a Samsung store there are far too many droid phones to choose from in different price ranges. Why bother to buy a top spec phone from Samsung.
