For example I have the complete opposite experience, iPhone X is by far the best iPhone I have owned since iPhone 4. All my friends and colleagues with iPhone X (which is starting to get quite a few by now) agree with me that this is, without a doubt, is the best model for many years.

I am using the iPhone X from the moment it got released
I am more than happy and it’s well worth it.
I also got the note 8 and s8 though I gotta agree the note camera is really good overall I’d prefer the iPhone X better and unlocking the phone using Face ID is so convenient that I don’t like unlocking my phone using fingerprint

nowadays you can buy very good Android midrangers that can do all the things the iphone does for half the price. The Iphone X is simply overpriced. No finger print scanner, no 3.5 mm headphone jack and if you want to fast charge you have to cough out extra money for the charger. How greedy and rediculous is this. For this money I can buy myself a state of the art notebook.

iphones --younger members of family since jan 2007 have new models now x .. apple are pioneers -same as samsung -for androids .. please REDUCE prices for mass usages ..science hight tech not sales pitch please...almost 95% of all our professional colleagues are longstanding apple addicts .. and apple watches .. It's simple. ALL of my iPhone 7+ and 8+ toting friends will tell you that they'd rather not pay the Apple tax for a notch that forces content letterboxing, be the "beta tester" for Face ID (none of them are careless. Not even their kids dare to touch their phones), better selfie cam (these are serious people not caring about Instagram stardom) and above all lol animojis! And they all can afford the upgrade easy.
X is not a bad phone. It's just that this time around even half of Apple's fans (seems more now) called Apple's BS on the spot.
Until the day an OEM maybe Apple can magically embed every non screen front components below the screen, the notch is a dumb compromise and the rest of other Android OEMs copycatting it are just gambling with one off models that they'd scrap off.

maybe its too expensive? Honestly I think $1200 for a phone is super awkward, even if I can afford it, I wouldn't. It's just tacky and in poor taste, it just is.
