i've been wondering, since Apple more or less kicked off the 3.5mm jack's demise on smartphones, do they have their own version of "high-quality" wireless audio? something like aptX HD or LDAC

Not really. We all need to remember that every sale n... moreI think if anything Apple is the one being graded on an inverse scale. Let's take the iPhone 5C for example, for months it was the 3rd best selling device in the US selling better than Samsung devices, but since it was not the best selling Apple device, bloggers said it was a flop.
Same with streaming music, Apple basically have 50% paying users of spotify which is around 37 million paying users (without a free tier btw). Folks (bloggers, Apple hating users) use it as a way to dissed Apple. But what happens to Google Play Music, or all the others? That's the thing, Apple is judge on a different scale than everyone else.
So, I am not buying what you are selling to again undermine what those guys in cupertino have been able to do. You may not like Apple, but there is no denying those guys knows how to move products.

Not really. We all need to remember that every sale no matter of number will be advertise as "success" for Apple.
As for those headphones, they just cant decide if they should sell them for 600$ or for 700$
And how small battery insert them so you need to charge them every night...
