Not many territories are going to be selling the S9 256 GB memory variant. Samsung should release an S9 with more ram than 4gb in multiple locations.

Exynos 9810 can record 4K @ 120fps but Snapdragon 845 can't do that...this is the reason why whole world didn't got 4K@120fps in S9/S9+ because the Snapdragon version can't do it...!

Killer Machine, 06 Mar 2018Serious?? Tell me the version you use. S8 plus or S8 and also the memory limit.I use S8 64gb which I purchased for 56900 on May last year. In comparison Samsung has launched the S9 64 gb at the same price.

I said S9+ has good pricing when compared to last year. Last year the S8+ with 128GB rom and 6gb ram was launched for around 75K Compared to that the s9+ 256gb rom and 6gb ram costs 73K. This is commendable of Samsung to avoid over inflating their prices than previous year.

But I agree with the general fact that Galaxy S and Note series phones are very expensive than most flagship phones.

Considering Rs.6000 (~$100) cashback and carrier offers like 120gb 4G data @ Rs.799 (~$12) + free calling + 1yr Amazon Prime membership OR 1TB 4G data @ Rs.4999 (~$75) + free calling + Amazon Prime membership; its a great deal. Plus 2.5x faster data speeds compared to other networks in India. These numbers are out of the world for other countries.

Exynos Note 8 is faster than Snapdragon version & that has been case for a while.
Look at Exynos 9810 benchmark results for god's sake & compare it to sad Snapdragon 845.

ssbatman21, 06 Mar 2018You are looking from a wrong angle.... Galaxy flaships are expensive in india because of the ... moreYes, you were right, but partially alone..
Import duties are behind the price increase to an extent.. Say 50k phone's base price could attract 10k for import duties. But again where are the rest of money goes? LG too faced that hurdle but they went bold and released superior variant of V30 with lowest price offered compared to any other market.

If you need more details, just google and get profit margin (Device component/R&D Costs Vs Selling cost) that Samsung maintains over their devices compared to other manufactures like Motorola, LG, Xiaomi, Honor, etc. (Xiaomi & Honor included just for references not in competency terms!)

Again Samsung is not smaller company and they do have manufacturing plants in India, they could have at least assembled here if not completely manufactured. LG is even smaller do that in India.
Apple's case is entirely different as China is their second prominent market, so they starts manufacturing there and could have fulfilled the needs of India with that supply chain itself (never mind for Apple, at any day customer will pay that extra import duties and all, they dont generally cares). Samsung is different case in China and they are not even in top ranks in China market, but in India they are slowly losing grounds to Xiaomi and others as they did the same in China in the past.

Galaxy flaships are expensive in india because of the tax that government charges on the premium smartphones....
I bought s8+ last year from saudi which cost me 39K INR whereas in india it was available for 61K INR....
Dat extra money goes into import duties since flagships are not manufactured here and the additional taxes on premium electronics sale that gets added to the price....
Its the government which is the problem, not samsung.

Well, people here are calling this duo as good priced, but i am wondering any phone crossing 45-50k INR mark is generally out of reach for many (especially in India).. It doesnt mean that Apple like premium company collecting ludicrous money just for their premium brand should not translate to every OEMs though.
I recollect from last year when LG launched V30+ (128GB with premium Audio inside) considered to be good value for 45k INR. Samsung should have maintained similar pricing for their base variant to move larger numbers of their flagship. Samsung should not follow Apple to price their device just to make consumer that it is premium device stands against Apple's flagships in price too.
Similarly, Oneplus the recent OEM who got the sales ground and starts collecting premium amount just to make their customers it is premium device even though it doesnt have basic features of flagships like OIS which LG/Samsung started offering years back..
Good thing about Samsung is they releasing their flagships on time lined with other major markets, but LG fails in this aspect.. (hope LG could turn-up in right time this time around)

Anyways, Samsung is Samsung.. doesnt cares the market capture right now.. Things would have been different (atleast in India), if Nokia was not died long ago.

Exynos always has lower clock, that is why uses less energy.

All other flagships with SD8xx are faster than Exynos Galaxy S and Note
