Well BBM did come first so obviously patterns were infringed. I hope they win, not only money but loads of users they deserve as the original creator.

One thing is certainly right. BlackBerry has somehow... "abandoned its efforts to innovate."

I hope snapchat do the same, just like blackberry did, many features from snapchat copied by this facebook. I want facebook to be lost in court, just to teach them a lesson, that copying I a sin, bb go!

Regardless of how innovative or not Blackberry is they have a right to damages if their patents were infringed upon. Same goes for Apple, Samsung, and any other company. The other companies will take a second and file suit if someone infringes their patents, so why not BlackBerry?

Facebook will settle out of court and pay a large amount of money , well in excess of what Qualcomm paid. Nokia will also be paying up early summer. This is only the beginning of patent law suits for BB against companies that used their technology. BB has come back and so has the stock price. Those of you who doubted BB did not enjoy the ride the stock has been on and where it will go. Even Kramer has got on board. Nay Sayers are just unhappy that they most likely shorted the stock.

Goodluck BBM for fighting against 3 giant platform, Blackberry should've improved their app when its still popular instead of suing when they no longer popular.
