As for protecting the phone from falls. Are you serious? Have you seen screen cracks? Since all phones use all glass one the glass in front of the bezel cracks , so does to the rest of the front face of the phone.
Nobody protects their phones with bezels. There is a thing called phone case. Some can be very discrete... welcome to 2018 (you will thank me later).
So let me clarify: Bezels are useless in 2018.
A notch is useful to keep the front sensors of the phone without losing screen estate (else the notification has to go lower).
I mean look at those Sony phones. All bezels (style) and no substance (small screens for the phone size) ... nobody bought them. Normal people hate bezels. They should be removed, if anything the trend should had continued back in 2014 when Sharp started it, we're 4 years late. Just kill them with fire.

from the latest news it seems that Apple may have the last laugh about these notches if the rumor of 2019 "no more notch" comes true. Just in time to throw all these notched clone android phones on the market.

I blame Samsung for starting that trend. (I know Sony started with Glass bodies first, but nobody started copying until Samsung did it).

Pay no attention to these ppl who can't think for themselves, useful features are being stripped away to bring crap I agree with that 100%. Also for the life of me of you're taking away features such as headphone jack, ir blaster and fm radio just to name a few how is it that phones are getting more expensive to build with less components? These companies are lying to us yearly and robbing us as well and we need to vote with our wallets and not stand for this robbery by paying more for less.

Good screen to body ratio.
Back is best among all previous LG dual camera flagships! G5 and G6 back look like cartoon's face. I hate them.
I hope it will have good battery timing, at least equal to V30.
Phone should be best one, it does not matter what others have doing.

that is such an ugly design choice. Why would you put a notch and yet put a bezel below?
It would have been better if they got rid of the notch and put that small bezel on top for the camera, speaker, sensors, etc. would have been a much sexier phone.

I, personally, hate the notch concept. LG, please don't do it. Stick with sturdy materials and stay away from notch craze. V30 has a good design.
