The V30 is too big. I had hoped that the G7 wouldn't be, but, this render looks just like a V30. LG used to be more popular. I don't think the G7 will help popularize LG. This model will float into obscurity land.

Bezels protect the screen at impacts and from accidental touch of the screen with your hand. You also can rest your fingers on the bezels.

Galaxy Note 7's fiasco ended within 6 months or more. That's because Samsung took full action of the issue and resolved it as early as possible. They even apologized to us for the danger.
And LG? Literally more than 2 years before the problem has been fixed. I mean, how would one be interested in a flagship phone that has the potential to fail on him/her?
Low sales are the results of it. Not everyone likes Samsung, but at least they have excellent quality to offer. LG is supposed to be the biggest rival to Samsung (in WWE is like Undertaker vs Kane, the former being Samsung) but it seems like they've lost interest in these recent years.
They shouldn't have let a phone be sold to the customers if they know themselves that it will fail again and again.
Rn I'm wishing the best for LG this year, but this renders aren't good IMO.

You never use that part of the screen, but you do use the two corners. So a bezel would lower the notifcation placement so make the screen smaller.
A notch is ugly but very functional. Apple fans used to be about looks without substance (function). Now it is android fans that are all about looks and don't care about function.
I mean a bezel? Are you serious. Tell me one thing that a bezel is useful for other than aesthetics. Apple had the courage to remove and eventually the notch would be gone too. With proper palm rejection you are going to get a better experience than ever. Leave Samsung to the past with her side to side bezel that is mostly useless space...

Whackcar, 07 Mar 2018You're a typical ignorant hater. The LG bootloop issue died a while ago. It's like saying that... moreWith Samsung, battery explosion was just for 1 generation of a phone.
With LG, boot loop was for 2 and a half generation (G4-V10, G5-V20, and even the G6 had this problem, too, though at a lower percentage).
The problem here is that Samsung managed to fix a more dangerous problem in just 6 months, while LG cannot even do it for literally 2 years. That is, boot loop is less dangerous than battery explosion.
I have the G4 and I'm thinking of whether I will have its motherboard replaced or not, knowing that the problem might occur again since it was manufactured in 2016; same models that were said to be free of the problem.
And LG's service center, I don't even want to say anything. We all know it simply s*cks.

Not that I'm arrogant, but the concept of the Vivo Apex was also my idea when small bezel trend started last year. I was hoping for Sony to do it since I'm a fan of them and that I believe that they can do it if they want to.
Idk, I guess someone has managed to gather what I was thinking?
Literally, my idea for a bezel less device is to have the front camera be a pop-out mechanism from the top of the phone so that it gets hidden when not in use, and in order to achieve a true bezel less look.
I'm just so sad that a brand that's not as big of a player as Samsung and Apple, has managed to come up with a more intelligent solution to current problems.
I'm afraid that notch devices will take over the world since Apple has started it. I wish the notch is like the 3D Touch on iPhones, where almost no one really dared to copy it.
