Circular colourful icons in settings and too much rounded corners on notification panel and volume sliders, Google is mixing TouchWiz with iOS, and it looks..eh... Seriously Samsung Experience 9 looks way better. It might be laggy sometimes but it is user friendly and much cleaner than TouchWiz. Reply only if you have tried or used it.

No, It doesn't look like iPhone. Android is 100 % better than iOS. Android P design is absolutely materialistic. I like the New Icons in Quick Settings.

However whether they are the first or t... morewhy is everybody so obsess on who did it first and the essential notch?! so christ sake people the essential notch is only the selfie camera, if other oems wanted that design then they should have copied that design, but they did not. its the iphone x notch design they copied. the point is if they wanted a notch then make they should have made their own design but nooooooooo, they copied the iphone x design only made it small but the design curves are there. they could have made a square notch or a rectangular notch, or a circle notch but noooooooo they copied the slanting design notch.
its fine to copy the notch idea but to copy also the design of the notch is crap.

However whether they are the first or they are following others, when Apple do something they generally manage put their own mark on it then sell it to the hilt as a major 'Apple' feature (that's Apple marketing for you) - so everyone believes "wow, look what Apple have done!". In this case Essential phone did the notch before Apple, but few cared until Apple made it "an elegant solution".
Though its true that then others tend to (rather shamelessly) trip over themselves trying to copy it.

the notch which was suppose to be the distinguishing design of the ipx and the up and coming iphones to differentiate from other phones is now supported by google. guess google did not hear their android users that they hated the notch because its design by apple
