Looks like the companies need to learn it the hard way - their phones with the notch need to be a failure in sales and only then they will understand.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Oneplus beefor Christmas, the 5T. Have been wanting Oneplus for a will but its hard to gett hold of in Norway. And now they ruin it. This notch stupidity is in line with Einsteins words: Only two thins are infinat. 1.the univers 2.the stupidity of humans. And I am not sure of the first.
Two other stupid things I realyze with this photos, the fingerprint scanner is getting smaller. Dont do that. make it bigger. And they keep having the 2 kamera sett up, on my 5T the second camera is useless. Why not use all that relastait for one bigger sensor. Why is there no new thinkers in the phone buisness. The Razor phone is looking more and more apiling. Bezels are great for holding your phone, they only remove it sow will dropp it and shatter the glass back.

I don't see the disadvantage in the notch thing?
Fine with me if clock and icons get up there, and the full screen goes to important stuff.
What I DON'T wanna see is the fingerprint scanner on the back - THAT infuriates me!
That is what held me back from buying OP5T - and could also hold me back if OP6 gets it.
The only reason they should put the scanner on the back is they puts one in the front screen as well.
It's really NO use on the back - and yes, I've had one before with the scanner on the back.

Seriously... I am a developer. and one of the things I gotta work with is a notch. I can understand if it's a corner notch like the Mix 2S. but other notches are a sore. because of limitations and because you need to remember not to place anything there.

Mzma PIB, 08 Mar 2018Screen 19:9 but only 18:9 will be utilize & left 1:1 on top as a bezel.. very ugly..18:9 will be utilised. The excess will be dead space with the notch, showing black pixels in full-screen app mode or notification icons when not using an app. Sounds like a better implementation than Apple's notch design.
