That's why I thought it's mandatory for them to do just to squeeze out the best performance and functionality of Android, even though I, as a user have no need for those.
AnonD-94030, 09 Mar 2018i think you got it backwards.Think so as well
Used Android since 2011, very good OS for me. :)

I think the reason is simple, it's easier to stick to Android than iOS, because for iOS to work properly you need to invest in the iEcosystem.
Buy an Android:
-Bluetooth works everywhere
-Cloud sync works everywhere
-Can plug in everywhere
-Can use any music streaming (i.e. Homepod is locked)
-Can use any pc to copy files (without shitty iTunes)
-File share works with any device
-NFC works with any device
With Apple all those things work, better in fact, but only if everything else is also Apple
Given that Apple can't help themselves to charging over a grand, not have features at release, removing the option to a fingerprint scanner in their top-shelf year model, and have their "greatest iPhone ever" run the worst version of iOS to date that still is barely up to standards with iOS 11 -- none of this is surprising.
Also, releasing a SMART SPEAKER without PROPER BLUETOOTH. Let that sink in.
I've been an Android user since version 1.5 up to 7.0. and recently switched to iOS. I can clearly say that iOS runs faster and it's more optimized but it is comparable with the performance level on nexus/pixel devices. When it to comes features, usability Android is my favorite. I don't plan to switch tablet any time soon back to Android because iPad pro 10.5 with 120Hz display is the real MVP. I will switch my iPhone to a Pixel in the future but I hate that those ugly plastic pixel 2's are so expensive. Maybe they will come up with something more impressive. I will never buy a laggy Galaxy device ever again, only Nexus. My favorite phone of all time is Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
I'm a loyal Android User & my friend is an iHolic. I have Oneplus while he has Apple iPhone 8(yes, the same one as7). He was looking for call recorder (one of the most basic app), but nothing was free for him. And then I search for same on play store and 100+ results was there for free. In every term Android is way better than iOS. Okay Not in updates but thats fine 2years is also fine.

You can use an android device fine without doing any of those things.

iOS is Plug and Play. I don't have to do anything because I got all I wanted.
Android has a lot of requirements. Root, unlock bootloader, choose launcher, delete unneccessary apps and once I'm done with cleaning everything up, I can finally customize what I want to and it'll take me a whole week to do all of that compared to iOS's few hour setup.
Oh lol, this is gonna cause another war here in the comments in regards to the debate on which is the better operating system, ANDROID or iOS...
AnonD-736924, 09 Mar 2018Apple's ecosystem is the best . Android users should understand that. That only applies if you already are heavily invested into Apple products. If you are a person who just want to use a smartphone without being locked into a walled garden or an ecosystem that you don't have to be a part of, then Android obviously is the better choice for most peoples out there.
AnonD-736924, 09 Mar 2018Apple's ecosystem is the best . Android users should understand that.Yeah..the verry best LIMITED LIMITED LIMITED eco...I was an Iphone user ,and i will never go back to that IOS..!CHeers!

Well thats abvious.
Android does not sow your phone down over time .I.E. Company wont force you to buy new one every year or two.
Android is not full of bugs and laggs.
And is eco friendly OS which allows you to do almost anything on the phone compared to IOS where users cant even change backround of the phone or set up own pictures as wallpapers. And there is a lot more but i am tired of whinning on crazy mad insane apple company which does not know what to ask for their devices. (Like apple X 370,25 dollar is a manufacturing price and selling is 999 depends on your local shop you can pay much more).
