Also FYKI whoever told you that apple invented the notch was not in his sane state of mind or maybe you made that up.
The First phone with a notch was the essential phone.
Also These notches are important for the optimal intended functioning of the Front Camera and Sensors with the Speaker and Microphone.
Xiaomi Tried to Put all the sensors and Front facing camera on the bottom on its Mi Mix Series Both of them Have Problems with Cellular Voice Quality and Sensor Problem and Its very difficult to take selfies with them.
Hence there is no other option than a notch at least for now.
Maybe Rather than commenting and spewing false news here you can invent advanced technology that will help in the advancement of how phones are made.
