For example s8 was called the second coming here. Instead it was universally hated in most of everywhere else.
Tech forum dwellers are not very tech literate compated to the average populance. For example most don't get that the notch is useful and now that we have a way to ,ass produce it it makes complete sense to do just that. Instead they prefer the old dumb bezel... most of the populace is not like this. Most people get that iphone x is a technoligical marvel, but they dont buy it because it is too expensive. Only in tech sites are you going to hear that it is nothing special, which factually incorrect.

... and 25 Mpix camera ... what a laugh ... as if anyone will actually grasp the difference between that and 16Mpix scaled up (Hint: with phone optics and sensor size there isn't any). 99.99993% of the images will be scaled back to 4Mpix for display on Snapchat (for about a day, then forgotten)

But still, too many gimmicks like their "Selfie Expert" and yet ain't the best selfie taker, 18:9 screens and a lot of models which are either way have almost the same specifications, they just want people's attention from the low-end to the mid-end, because that's where most people will fall for their gimmicks. They should rename their motto instead of calling themselves "Cameraphone" or "Selfie Expert", they should call themselves "Notice me senpai", lol

Because it is the smallest / shortest notch ever so it has more space then the apple notch and it is an AM OLED screen so you can tern of the notch to save battery as I sed before

The late examples being the double cameras, slimming down to 7mm at the expense of battery capacity and even skipped a number so that they can even copy Apple's model number (note6, how disgraceful...)
