Kiyasuriin, 13 Mar 2018Just grab an S9/S9+ or Sony XZ2Too expensive for me, here carriers only offer you unlocked phones and pay them in installments with interest, hopefully the Mi Mix 2s will have a more reasonable price and with the latest SoC, and improved camera. Or other model in the future. The S9/S9+ are great phones but too expensive, I don't like the new XZ2, in my opinion Sony made a big mistake with the new design, worse selfie camera and removing the audio jack. But the sales will show if i'm right in few moths.

Putting a bez... moreA big part of the potential customers don't like the notches, so continue designing models without notch is a warranty of sales for those that don't want notches in their phones. And if you want full screen the Apex concept of Vivo and soon available to purchase is by far better than notch, and of course the underdisplay camera that Samsung is researching and developing.

Notch is an excellent idea because it allows to use the space that used to be used by bezel.
Fanboys here won't agree because they are haters of anything that apple does (even those that are clearly better ideas, like passive biometrics and usable "bezel" i.e. notch).
I am an android fan too. But I like when androids copy successful apple ideas. Of course I hate when they copy bad apple ideas (like the sealing of the batter *tm*)

Is it just me, or someone else agrees that there aren't any unsurmountable rational reasons for a notch (or for the lack of 3.5mm for that matter)?
A couple more mm in heigth, one or two more mm in thickness, and you have all the volume you need to build a decent phone - and by decent I mean a decent chipset, >4GB + >64GB, >4000 mAh battery, dual SIM + micro SD (no stupid hybrid slot), decent cameras and flash (front and back), stereo front firing speakers, USB C 3.1 (all the way, not C + 2.0 freaks) + some sort of fast charging, IP67/68, NFC, wireless (fast) charging and 3.5mm.
I'm pretty sure a phone like that can be made on the cheap (say, under US$300) with SD 636/670 and FHD+ display. Hey, even SD 820/821/835 are very very usable today, and will remain so for quite a few years yet.
Removable back and battery are also very nice, but it seems laziness has taken over so much that they won't even consider this.

Apple and Essential are the only ones who can pull of the notch. All of these new companies throwing notches on their phones are just following a dumb trend and executing it so badly it hurts key android features.

So what's your point?what I mean ( I am reply to anonymous I could of done it wrong ) copycat only take from the big brands and drap the fake flagship price to cheep price so every on can say ,hay look at my IPHONE X so a awesome I got it for 200$ so cheep and it runs the awesome android so freaking AWESOME, the same old trick they take the expensive brands and sell them for cheep prices so people will buy the the iphone x worth 1000$ and people like it because it is expensive fancy reliable brand like Samsung ( Samsung is expensive and reliable ) that is why it is the copy brands are targeting the there is some brand ar specialy made to copy phone ! BLUMIX

Same applies to "No one cares about Sharp (very first tri-bezelless phone) because it is a minor brand but after Xiaomi, the bezelless became so popular even Google teamed with LG to make Pixel 2 XL".
What a double standard where we cannot universally accept Essential as the innovator of the notch but we want to accept Sharp as the innovator of the tri-bezelless design.

would we like the notch ....... NEVER not because it is copied from Apple ( which it is but it was invented by essential thy just like to copy Apple ؛P ) but because it is useless in the end no matter how small it well become a bezel the sides of the notch well be turned off and become a bezel it is more like an adjustable notefaction LED lamp not just that but the ,bezeless, phone has a lower bezel why ? to keep balance between the upper and lower bezel
so for brands how wants to make a ,bezelees, phone dont bather without removing the selfe camera ( or flip the front camera to the back like honor 7i or puting it inside the the device like vivo ) no matter how small is the notch/bezel it is still a bezel
I don't like this crap :( x:( >:( :P
