I have a headphone (with 3.5mm jack) which I use with my current phone, my old phone and my PC. I also use the FM radio in my phone (which works with any cable with 3.5mm plug).
Lame, it's the only thing that makes me reconsider another phone. And i really like xperias
i got a great idea, xz3 remove the screen, we dont need it
This is sad... Dropping the 3.5 mm headphone jack, because the others are doing it is such a lame excuse.... I expected better from Sony...
Sigh... It seems like right now, only Samsung is sticking to theirs guns... No ugly notch, committed to the 3.5 mm jack and listening to their customers.... Sadly, even LG is predicted to jump onto the notch bandwagon with their G7....

Palm went out of business, Nokia went out of business, HTC going out of business, Blackberry will go out of business.... why don't Sony follow this trend?
" We offer less because others do".
Well I'm sure to offer my money to someone who does not. Also the splitter drops the charging rate to a laughable 2.5W. Good luck charging with that, when the normal, non Quickcharge speed is 10W.
Mitochondria, 14 Mar 2018We still have Samsung, LG, and Oneplus (BBK). Vote with your wallet people!when apple takes a move that become trends not same for x,y, companies like samsung etc
"In order to create the beautiful seamless design, our designers needed to remove the headphone jack."
Next year, please remove the usb port, to make it more beautiful seamless design.
Please Sony pleaseeee :D
Two words: planned obsolescence.

But it seems that in a year or two only viable option will be Samsung (unless they fall for this idiotic trend). Had high hopes for Sony, but this.... Admiting that they chose form over function for a product that is first and foremost device, not fashion accesory...unbelieveable

I , means standard is the same , but physical dimensions are different. We have micro-usb, a scaled down usb on phone.
This will make a huge problem , cause you won't be able to connect your usb-c phone headphone to PC, if you wan't to.
There were no such issues with 3.5mm Jack.
The 3.5mm jack removal and the notch trend are cancerous like all the liberal movements
I'm a Sony user and fan, but since they decided to remove the 3.5mm jack and chose this horrible design I'm finding it very hard to want one anymore..
Hey Sony, maybe I should just buy a Samsung. All the other kids are doing it..
And maybe if you see your loyal fans ditching you for the competition, you'll get back into your senses, get the 3.5mm jack and fire that blind designer!

Why can't they learn that the phones sale this day are Android with 3.5mm and Iphone.
