I think this year I'll stick with my older S6 edge. The prices are rising every year and is more difficult to choose the right smartphone. Let's not forget about that ugly notch.

Why did they go with a notch as well, just to copy ... moreOr maybe everything does not revolve around Apple, and the P20 is more similar to Essential phone with a small notch and small side bezels (unlike the huge borders for the iphone x) and a bottom bezel but with an front fp (unlike the rear fp of essential phone).

I just hope the P20 doesn't reflect whatever Huawei plans for the next Mate series (Mate 11) because this notch trend needs to end sooner than later. Mate 11 should just be how the Mate 10 was with thinner bezzels, no notch, 4000 mah battery, OLED screen, IP67 certified, a newer Kirin chipset (980), maybe triple camera or some other new feature, and please a headphone jack too.
Otherwise its Samsung all the way! There's no need to fix or remove what is not broken!

I've been thinking that i should accept that notch since all phone seems to go into that direction and that 3 cameras tempted me to go for it, but it feels ridiculous though how they have the notch but also bezel on the bottom of the phone. They really should just go with flat screen without the notch. And looking at the wallpaper it does ruin a bit on how that notch standing there obstructing the photo. Why notch why!

Expect almost every Chinese-made phones to come with a notch this year. One of the reason is because Apple iPhoneX are assembled in China and the Chinese are very good with their copying skills. I'm not being racist but the facts is there and I'm a Chinese btw

Yeah, this ain't happening for that price. Why did they go with a notch as well, just to copy Apple? They have the fingerprint scanner on the bottom so they could've gone with a symmetrical top bezel. The Mate 10 Pro looks so much better then this stupid P20 (Pro).
