When sony make super slow mo, and........ Everyone start to copycopycopycopy..... Hahahahahahaha, sony WIN
Yolokeke, 19 Mar 2018Everyone copies Sony. Why don't you say Sony copies everyone? Having a fingerprint sensor, noise cancellation mic, non-removable battery, no headphone jack etc?
Hope you realise how ridiculous you sound. And the guy with the ever-changing nickname who replied to you.
Competition is always good for the customers. Drives everyone to come up with the best implementation.
I guess that need some fast cache ram but for full hd may be need also a fast processor that they dont have (kirin 970 could be not so fast?) we will know in 6 days! in any case I cant wait! but... I guess that they will be not better than sony in slow mo... although the camera could be in the top 3... but they need to improve the mobile performance... is not enough to compete with 1-snapdragon and 2-exynos
r33fd, 19 Mar 2018Quality seems pretty low. I don't think it can match Sony 960fps 1080p .Sony might remain to be the only one that can do 960fps in 1080p, until next year when they will bring something even better. Maybe still 1080p but way longer, in fact unlimited 960fps, too. It would be epic, and thanks to Sony, our world is still moving forward.
nkwama, 19 Mar 2018Can anyone explain to me just briefly how these numbers frames per sec relate to slo mo or nor... moreIf the teaser is right, the P20 series (except the Lite, maybe) can record slow motion videos in 960fps @720p, much like the Galaxy S9/S9+ and Xperia XZ Premium/XZs/XZ1/XZ1 Compact.
The current leader is Sony, as
A. They were the one who started this thing
B. They have better quality with their current generation (now they can do it in 1080p but half the time of 720p)
I like how Samsung does this with Automatic slow motion, but I prefer the better quality still. 720p just isn't enough for the video to be enjoyable.
Yolokeke, 19 Mar 2018Everyone copies Sony. They have the best technological hardware. So much so, others spent billions of dollars for those who are willing to troll against Sony.
Btw the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact are the first ever smartphones with rear cameras that can record in 4K HDR; something that is just found on proper video cameras.
And the Xperia XZ Premium remains to be the only smartphone in the world to have 4K HDR display.
Both are gimmicks, they say. The truth is
1 - They haven't tried or seen the actual thing in reality, so they can't appreciate.
2 - It is an achievement that their favorite brand wasn't able to do so.
Can anyone explain to me just briefly how these numbers frames per sec relate to slo mo or normal speed.
There are some apps can do slow mo to any phone? I s that different from this Sony/Samsung slo mo?
Judging purely based on that footage. It seems to be 960fps at 720p (for that short duration while he's in air). Nothing new, but definitely cool to have.
If it shoots 960fps, it seems to be a good news! There will be 3 major companies doing it which definitely will set a new standard for phones to have this capability. Because why not?
It's sure more than 120 probably 240 but for advertising they use 2 different rate one more than the other but for resolution this video is sur 720. For 960 FPS normal memory can't reach 960 1080p that why Samsung equipped the camera with dedicated memory same for Sony
Uses the same chipset as the Mate 10 but doesn't mean it uses the same camera sensor.
I'd be surprised if it doesn't do 960fps. Why would the bother teasing if it wasn't on par with other devices.
Quality seems pretty low.
I don't think it can match Sony 960fps 1080p .
