No I don't meant that but looking from Sony's view of point, they need it because they need to raise their stock in the smartphone industry plus marketing aggressively helps people to know them, build a trust relationship with it and appreciate them. You know I say that because Sony built most of the technologies that this industry is based on and they deserved to be known and appreciated instead of bashing and disrespecting them online

Like Apple, we know their iPhone is not a technological phone compared to rival's but look how they market it. That marketing strategy made them so successful.

I would certainly argue that people have become more self-obsessed though, thanks to the likes of Youtube, Twitter, Facebook n so on. This 'look at me' culture has just went off the scale.

"Great", now it will be even more impossible for Google to be able to prevent racist... propaganda and fake news and conspiracy theories and... to be spread using YouTube!
