Guys, 4K@120 didn't come on S9 series because Snapdragon 845 can't do them, GSMArena tells us. Even though Exynos of S9 is capable of doing them.
Does this mean we can use after-market apps to do 4K@120 on an Exynos powered S9/S9+?
PS: As you probably know, Redmi Note 4 also didn't support 4K30 into their phone, but since the S625 chipset was capable of it, The "OpenCamera" and other apps from play store were capable of 4K@30 on this phone....
Can anyone with S9 give it a try?

If one GPU core makes so much difference I don't want to think about 20 cores.

only 3 core GPU? they should put at least 8 core, so the performance not light year behind S series, as asume this for next A9 series where the price not marginal significant compare to S series (base on A8 vs S8 history)

Mirkran, 22 Mar 2018I hope this goes to next A series. Performance similar to SD660. But it will be below SD670.SD670 has better GPU and fully featured NFC. Exynos is most likely still to use poor Broadcom NFC controller.
