The issue is LG could not make mobile screens ... morenot sure how it works but in a completely dark room with no windows, on my v30, i just brought up a black screen with a really small red detail in the bottom to ensure the display is on, there is no light whatsoever, and it looks like 0 nits

microLED is such a dumb term. All OLED's are made of micro LED's, because each pixel is made of tiny LED's (red, green and blue). Better ones also have dedicated white and yellow.

Grats instead of making something usefull they work on something useless.
Soon they will put 8k screen on a 5 inch phone congrats on era of stupidity.
They should make batteries slim as iphone batteries small like for button phones like for nokia 3310 new model but with twice the capacity of energizer 16k.
But no. They works on crap and then we have to pay in price of their devices for research that noone interests. Apart from imbecile ceo of LG.

LCD is still reign supreme in display technology, it even progres... moreTrue... higher refresh rate, less eye strain (tough any panel emitting artificial light slowly wastes your eyes) better color accuracy, higher peak of brightness... but terrible contrast and washed blacks - The life span for me is the most important...
Personally? Until a good and proven W-RGB OLED panel from JDI or J-OLED cames out I would stick to a good "ol' " 4K HDR IPS LCD panel from JDI or Sony (not TFT or from Sharp)
With those cons we all know even after half a decade it will still be good as day-1 no matter how "heavy usage" your pattern is... for OLED, P-OLED and S-OLED? Can't say the same :)
