Anonymous, 25 Mar 2018They could be shaping but instead drift along. Simple factsNot they're not bur why do you think like that ???
Anonymous, 23 Mar 20183 phones ... You forgot the G Flex series. The issue is LG could not make mobile screens ... morenot sure how it works but in a completely dark room with no windows, on my v30, i just brought up a black screen with a really small red detail in the bottom to ensure the display is on, there is no light whatsoever, and it looks like 0 nits
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2018Lmao!! They aren't shaping anything. They are letting their selves waist awayWell they did shape but the media doesn't want to emphasize on the parts that Sony did and your believing it because your blind enough not to see that or search for the truth.
[deleted post]I'm not rude and i'm saying facts you can go and search for it. But you guys are the haters and doesn't want to check and judge based on the company in some divisions are not successful and believing the whatever the media says.
microLED is such a dumb term. All OLED's are made of micro LED's, because each pixel is made of tiny LED's (red, green and blue). Better ones also have dedicated white and yellow.
Grats instead of making something usefull they work on something useless.
Soon they will put 8k screen on a 5 inch phone congrats on era of stupidity.
They should make batteries slim as iphone batteries small like for button phones like for nokia 3310 new model but with twice the capacity of energizer 16k.
But no. They works on crap and then we have to pay in price of their devices for research that noone interests. Apart from imbecile ceo of LG.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2018Nope, lcd is not an ancient LCD is still reign supreme in display technology, it even progres... more You clearly don't understand what you are talking about. You need to go do research before babbling so much incoherent fan lies
GVera, 23 Mar 2018And then fall well behind, all current Sony OLED TVs use LG panels...LG is dominating market to with their OLED TV. They first started to sell OLED TV and a leaders in TV market Like Samsung on a smartphone
Shanti Dope, 22 Mar 2018Because of the nature of the technology, microLED displays will not be available until 2020 or... moreSony :D they are last to use anything first, I guarantee 100 percent once everyone will switch to microLeds they will startctp use,OLEDS, it's just the way Sony operates, they want to be last
Tango., 23 Mar 2018You're right. I remember seeing an old video of a Sony prototype OLED foldable panelNice and see they were the first ones who invented a flexible and bendable display
GVera, 23 Mar 2018And then fall well behind, all current Sony OLED TVs use LG panels...Sony did a lot of mistakes for letting go many things but they're the ones who shaped this industry. Do you know who they dropped their OLEDs to?? Take a good guess???
They Sold their OLEDs to Samsung and LG and when your saying Sony felt to LG, know that they're using their technology
KamAbdi, 23 Mar 2018Hey Sony was the pioneer of OLED and was doing it since 1990 so its ok to be a fan of Sony :DYou're right. I remember seeing an old video of a Sony prototype OLED foldable panel
If it's true though, I hope LG to succeed. µLED is very promising - It will change it all in the future!
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2018Nope, lcd is not an ancient
LCD is still reign supreme in display technology, it even progres... moreTrue... higher refresh rate, less eye strain (tough any panel emitting artificial light slowly wastes your eyes) better color accuracy, higher peak of brightness... but terrible contrast and washed blacks - The life span for me is the most important...
Personally? Until a good and proven W-RGB OLED panel from JDI or J-OLED cames out I would stick to a good "ol' " 4K HDR IPS LCD panel from JDI or Sony (not TFT or from Sharp)
With those cons we all know even after half a decade it will still be good as day-1 no matter how "heavy usage" your pattern is... for OLED, P-OLED and S-OLED? Can't say the same :)
