Vic, 23 Mar 2018Another 6 incher... Is there anybody around going to make a good compact 18:9 phone ? Xperia X... moreIt's not as big as it seems. Give it a week to see if you can use a 6-inch sausage (similar in size to 5.5 inch phone with 16:9 screen ratio).

xXENDER FREAKXx, 23 Mar 2018Too expensive? I call it a decent price for a high-end flagship. Yeah OnePlus didn't include I... moreWell it's neither expensive nor bang for buck. Its more, "you get what you pay for". Premium phones are around $300 more expensive, but for that you get higher resolution (you may or may not want) screen, better build, better camera, water resistance, better customer support globally.
Think of it like a Ferrari (vs) a american Muscle car.
you get the similar power/engine (Soc/RAM in phones) in both,
If that's all that matters then you can have a muscle car. but that does't mean you getting a Ferrari for the price of a Muscle car.
Hope it Helps. !!
BTW: Oneplus Phones are great and versatile. They make phones of people who want just raw performance and don't really want the extra flashy stuff that usually comes with this type of performance like the Nexus Phones back in the day. That's what makes them special.
GSM_expert, 23 Mar 2018What is this Assymetric Notch? ;)))) Are u crazy man?I don't think it will be asymmetrical (OCD people will have a brain meltdown and frantically rub the notch towards the centre and when that fails then throw the phone against a wall), "leaked photos" used by Gsm@rena more times than not not correspond with the final or any real existing thing in the world (photochops/tr0ll renders)

Ah the samsung S8 and S9 in the other extreme. You will not find smaller or equal size screen than the xz2 compact in 18:9
Looks good. Going to compare this to the Mi Mix 2S. I really LIKE large screen phones and with 18:9 even 6.2 is not that big anymore.
Looking forward to some vids and reviews.
19:9? Why not 21:9 or 26:9?
They hedged their bet with an off-centred notch. ;)
Hopefully, this will finished this brand off ...
Yay, gonna pass on this one & wait for 6T...
The real price probably will raise again, but we unknown how much. They aren't original since a long time ago. You can bet that their next phone will be a R15 with steroids, so with notch, but lacking several features that the true flagships have. And knowing that Oppo always copy Apple in their most expensive phones, One Plus phones now are actually "The clones of the clones". So funny.
now'er days there is new marketing strategy called "Leaks". it can grab anyones attention easily. i still remember that how steve jobs kept new iphone secret even once pizza delivery man saw's that. leaks leaks leaksssssssssssssssssssssss
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2018The $749 leaked price could be a marketing ploy, to make the actual price tag seem like a bargain. That won't be the real price. They had iPhone X for $1500+ and S9 for $1100+ on that sheet.
Regular shaped screen is better than curved cornered display, the full bezelless design looks cheap aimed at school kids.
Looks too bad to be interesting.
Vic, 23 Mar 2018Another 6 incher... Is there anybody around going to make a good compact 18:9 phone ? Xperia X... moreSounds like someone doesn't like/welcome progress. When will the 6.5" - 6.7" version going to be available?
xXENDER FREAKXx, 23 Mar 2018Too expensive? I call it a decent price for a high-end flagship. Yeah OnePlus didn't include I... moreFlagship phones have many particular features that make you feel like you get your money worth. These include but are not limited to:
- better camera hardware such as: better sensors with bigger pixels, better (optical) stabilization, secondary camera that actually does something, not just for portrait mode and fun features such as slow motion etc.
- premium audio including stereo speakers and good microphones.
- flashier designs that attract the look of others (ok, this is subjective and some could find stupid (including myself) but to many people it actually makes a big difference)
- small quarks like water resistance, wireless charging, SD card slot that gives you piece of mind that you can get the best out of your phone in any given situation.
- many custom apps that some people consider bloat, but others find useful.
- higher resale value.
- reliable costumer care you can actually interact with at your local store/customer care building. (this last one is particularly important and gives many people piece of mind paying tons of money on a device)
Now, considering many of these do not apply to OnePlus phones, the price difference has to be significant, or else the people would feel like "Hey, why not just save a few more bucks and get the real deal ?!".
Vic, 23 Mar 2018Another 6 incher... Is there anybody around going to make a good compact 18:9 phone ? Xperia X... moreSure but it will likely to come with only 1800mAh-ish battery like the iPhone 8.
