The compact one is extremely awesome even though there are a few shortcomings like dropping the minijack or using a combined SIM/microSD slot. The big one is okay, but it looks worse, and the competition between large phones is much fiercer. The compact one has only one viable alternative - S9 with its questionable ergonomics, lagging UI, glass back and higher price.

[deleted post]In your logic the Galaxy s9 is a budget phone XD, and there won't be any flagship this year until the xz2 premium.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2018Dude! Samsung is best in bloatwares and you can only disable them, not uninstall! this is the first time I heard we can't remove bloatware. unless they got severely locked.
with root (& root explorer), system file uninstaler, deleting app package in room before flashing. Android main advantage is customization, and once they got locked, they just become iOS but without ease to use, optimization, & beautiful ui

Xperia has lightweight UI and best software optimization and get updated faster and less bloatware compare to Samsung because Samsung has duplicate the apps with similar features as Googles.
