Why don't they improve on the processing of the images first before doing such gimmicks?
The S9 with single camera will beat the P20 Pro in low light if the three cameras will not work as intended.
And 40MP resolution? Damn, can't imagine the low light shots on this thing.

While this sensor is not available right now, it is very likely that a similar sensor to this may constitute the 40MP sensor. This does 4k and even full res @ 15fps. Plus it is 2/3.2" so a little smaller in size.
Like I said before, they could have PDAF and higher full res fps for better HDR.

P20 lite is a sure dissaster due Kirin 659.
P20 is a success where the P20 Pro won't make it. And it will be the balanced phone.
P20 Pro... It would be a Smash hit everywhere. Unless Nokia 9 appears.

If you want a good camera, why don't you just buy a cheap DSLR with a kit lens? For 400 euros, you can have a Canon 1300D or a Nikon D3300, with a kit lens. Much better sensor, both wide angle and what you call "telephoto" (it's not), good high ISO shots, image stabilization, much better video, variable aperture ... Plus, you can even get a decent phone, and all that for the same price as these 3-4-5 camera phones.

Why the heII they skipped telephoto lens...
BW is nice, but after playing with it in the first few days, later you use maybe once per half of the year. And as P9 and P10 show us compared to any other camera, BW sensor doesnt really give huge advantage in dark shoots or bokeh effect. Most of difference can be get with just better algorithms and sensor it self.
Telephoto give user way more features and possibilities than BW.
