Oh the irony btw. Mi Mix series started the bezeless craze of late and by now even freaking Mi series would have higher BtS ratio ... just put a notch to it (the corner-type) on the Mix series and be done with it! 82% doesn't cut it (heck the original mix was 84%.).
Not having a notch and instead having a low BtS ratio is not a choice. Very few would buy it! Get on with the times Xiaomi!

You can repeat this phrase all the times you want but that does not make it true.
1) Sharp Aquos S2 - Released 2017, August
2) Essential PH-1 - Released 2017, August
3) Apple iPhone X - Released 2017, October
It makes the notch bigger but that does not mean it introduces anything.

Nice! I love notch. It looks so modern and futuristic.
Nothing wrong with the notch.
People don't complain those forehead and chin bezel on samsung s8 and s9 which as thick as the X's notch.

In "androidcentral" an editor who put an article in favor of the notches received the criticisms of more than 90% of readers in the comments.
It'll be interesting watch at the end of the year which trend sell more if notched phones or classic ones, taking into account the proportion of the models available of each trend. Aside Apple, sadly for their customers probably all their upcoming phones will have notches for now. I pity them.

Nothing wrong with the notch. People obviously love it. This is the trend. The notch cannot spoil the entire feeling, but a big phone can. Unfortunately this is the other trend. That's what is wrong with Mi7. Of course we can forgive Xiaomi for Redmi 5, because no matter how big and ugly is, it is cheap. But an expensive device should offer some aesthetics. Big and notch - wow.
May be I have to reconsider my thoughts about Sony XZ2 compact.
