Here the phone was working/camera was working. But was it perfect(tell me which phone is). NO. But at least there is an effort made to fix the issues. Anna was really late but I am impressed with this update and possible Belle update shortly.

I notice that it use more battery power ... and it is run out faster with the new/update OS
Any one have the same problem (with the N8)?

phones are boring, iPhone is "kool" ...
i have no explanation why people a... moreha haha...
yes they really get violent sometimes defending.....
In terms of imaging, I would like to say that there is no point telling I have 8 MPX if you do not have the right sensor size and lens system to funnel light on your sensor... and those numbers are actually "effective pixels"..
But I think the N8 has done well with fitting a large sensor at least....and the Lens does not show any distortion comapared to other models which are stupid...

Everytime the companies sell an unfinished product for customisation point of view, I do really pity the buyers... they are buying an incomplete product by paying more than a complete product..
but I know iFans will not get convinced by this idea and say that I am worthless..

Anyway with N900 you need only one application to do that job.

As everyone can see now all manufacturers release some shiny gadgets, which are all-in-one and communication functions are not top feature from long time.

i have no explanation why people are so dumb to value in a mobile any non-telephony features more than core functions but it is a fact, if you do not believe me try to convince iFan that iPhone has troubles with reception. But first call your beloved ones to say "goodbye".
P.S. i prefer 5 to 8 MPix cameras in phones.. bigger is not needed. They just take more space in memory - and also bigger resolution reveals how cheap is optic device built in. Also well kept secret is that with mobile phone is not possible to take good portrait picture - faces are distorted (look fat).

nokia n8's ui is best 4 personalisation....
2nd after anna update its browser is one of the best.
3rd camer is with 30fps n autofocus.
now tell me where it is lacking .....
if u say screen resolution then i will say it uses amolead screen which enhances its resolution upto apple iphone 4.
now tell me where its lacking and why it is a dead horse.

Samsung is going the same way....thats why Apple is angry.. :P
I think today, Nokia and SE are the only 2 companies left on Earth, who still focuses on Telephony... SE has made the worst decision of lifetime to go for Android, hence their sales are decreasing.... they should refocus on what they were good at once(remember the hoopla when Cybershot and Walkman came in..they nearly pulled down nokia)...
All said about UI... taking a analogy, I would never buy a car that looks good in the garage , but had to service it every 200 yards...

It is a phone in the first place, even it is a SMART phone, even it can download movies, etc etc... it is still a phone, and its prime function is Telephony....
Do you want a phone which has a terrible reception problem, or voice clarity issue over its UI?? I would not...
The Phone has evolved a lot.... it is good to have 12 Mpx on a phone, but still the critical things such as reception, ease of usage will be and always be a prime factor.....

I also though before that core is important, then people started to buy iPhone with limited core functionality (from mobile communication device point of view), but great UI (remember those magical Star trek like gestures?)
Several years later people again jump on Java based OS which promises great multitasking, which unfortunately is based on Java VM garbage collector, which never worked well. Check out comments from others - you'll see the most important point is not if you can comprehend other people's voice, or you can see what they show to you during video call, but if camera has 12 instead of 8 Mpix, if camera interface is usable and how fast web browser works.

Sign in with your Nokia Account and then download the sis file from the 'Try It' tab.
Connect your device to your computer in Mass Storage Mode. Copy the downloaded sis file to your device and then install the sis file (simple select it from File Manager) to your device.

AnonD-1906, 23 Aug 2011i saw your video and for i like better the xperia neo because of the auto focus base from your... moreYes, the Autofocus does work in the Neo...
but the picture clarity and fidelity is higher in N8.
Continuous autofocus and 30 FPS are software things..... maybe a correct update will fix it...
Do remember the N8 has the largest Sensor ever fitted to a compact device, even larger than many point-and-shoot cameras out there....that makes the processing very easy and yes, the pictures have a huge amount of details....
But , picture quality is subjective....you like the Neo, I like the N8.... both are cooool... :)

For Android Users, (Me too), there is a problem with the memory management system.... too much fragmentation, and hence the phone will get affected in the long run. For symbian , it is not the case.

It's no coincidence that Anna,... moreI don't know how many times I will need to say this, but if people actually searched, you know that thing the internet is actually good at, you would find, the transfer of the 3000 Symbian related staff is to occur in September - October 2011, so the Anna, Belle and other updates which people have seen have been created in house at Nokia.
