So it is our own judgement towards something. So far as usability is concerned, Symbian is not outdated and actually one of the most fully functional OS out there. But because the UI has been around for many years, people want to see something fresh and new, that's why iOS and Android gaining popularity now, but still their functionality is not as good as Symbian. iOS for instant to much depend on third party application, the same with Android. Peace!!

Hardware only capture raw image in RGB color or something similar to that(correct me if i'm wrong). But the true processing is done by software. Therefore, if the software able to get the raw image that had been captured, it will be able to enhance it to create stunning pictures. Actually, a driver in camera hardware is a kind of software as well, but lets not get into that. So, good software for imaging can help camera in general produce better result. Not just phone, but DSLR camera or normal digi-cam also have their own built-in software, that's why camera have many features such as macro, potrait, night, landscape and many more..all these are software that manipulate the raw image captured by hardware.

Nokia should have outsourced Sym^3 development a long time ago. It's no coincidence that Anna, and now this update, have come out after Nokia stopped actually being responsible for Sym^3 itself.
N8 remains unchalleneged in image quality, and this just makes it better. Pity Sym^3 is a dead-end. Now, if Nokia could get the imaging tech into a WP7.5 handset...

TIP:
Q: Conversations is still like new message, no split screen, I can't see text that I received so I can answer.
A:Uninstall Conversations Appl and Conversations Server. Reboot. I've had the same problem and it helped.
Tried and it works as a charm :)

But this issue is not just recording, play a good Video, you can find the purple tint issue very clearly..
Record a video when its little dark or low light, we can find the lines and mixed colours cleary(this is the best I can explain)
Anyways, I guess your one among them who is not having an purple tint issue..

I just have a question for everyone and also to me...
I am noticing that most of us in the forum had forgotten that purple tint issue is still there, everyone is quite happy with the new Anna(including me), but the sad part is, Purple tint still exists, I just love this phone, but when I take a pics in low light and a video in evening and later, I can just find the purple patches every corner of the pics, Videos dont ask me, the recording just SUCKS (Please bear with me), the CAM is really good in the day time, but night I can find the purple tint issue..
Do we have any solution from Nokia for this??? Can all of us do something, atleast in this way Nokia will do something( I know mostly of u all suggest go to NCC, but do u think is that a solution, can't we make Nokia get to know.. while playing videos we can cleary see the purple colours..
Now we have Camera UI changed with Auto Focus & 25fps(which is supposed to be 30), but whats the use when we have purple issue still on the device.. let me be frank guys, sometimes when I see my friends S2, I feel really sad, after so many hopes and be loyal to Nokia, this is what we are facing...
come on friends please come up with some idea for a solution pleaseeeeeeee

the camera of n8 should be better than n9 becoz n8 is having a resolution o 12 mp and n9 8 mp
